Minecraft is here to stay, so this year, use it as a theme to create a trunk-or-treat biome like no other! Go ahead and get yourself in creative mode and follow along with this DIY. With just a few mods, you can create a Minecraft trunk-or-treat experience that little gamers will love. Let's get to it!

To get things started, measure the back of your trunk and cut a piece of cardboard the width of your trunk by 18" H. Cover the cardboard with purple paper roll and then adhere black bulletin board letters that spell 'NETHER PORTAL' to the paper. Secure large purple tissue paper squares to the sign by applying adhesive spray to the tissue paper squares and then sticking them to the sign. Cut the tissue paper squares into smaller squares to embellish. Use tape or glue to adhere lengths of black streamer to the back of the sign, and then hang the sign in the top part of the trunk.

Cut the bottom half of the Minecraft Tablecloth and hang one part on the open trunk door and the other part on the bumper. Use Mavalus® tape to adhere Minecraft Egg Swirl Decorations and Minecraft Paper Dinner Plates to the bumper.

Hang the Minecraft Creeper Pinata from the top of the open trunk door.

To create the Ender decoration, paint the back of a black square dinner and dessert plate with black spray paint or just use the pre-printed fronts. To make eyes, cut strips from purple and lavender cardstock, and then adhere the eye strips to the dessert plate. Use black ribbon or streamers to link the two plates together, and then make long arms and legs by cutting lengths of black streamers and securing them to the large plate. Ta-da! Now you can hang the finished Ender from the trunk door.

Ready to make a TNT garland? Let's do it! To begin, paint craft rolls with red acrylic paint. Once the paint is dry, glue red cardstock on the top and bottom of the craft rolls and cut off the excess to close the holes on each end. Adhere a black chenille stem to the top of the dynamite sticks so it resembles a fuse. Use white paper with TNT written on it to wrap the sticks in bundles of three. Tape or glue the dynamite bundles evenly across a length of ribbon and then hang it across the door of the open trunk.

To make a Creeper Toss game, cut a creeper face out of a green tri-fold project board. Adhere black bulletin board letters that spell 'CREEPER PIXEL TOSS' to the project board and then spray both large and mini green tissue paper squares with adhesive spray and stick them to the board. Ready to play?! Have the trunk or treaters toss green bean bag 'pixels' into the creeper's mouth. If they get all 3 bags the holes, they win a special Minecraft treat bag filled with Minecraft themed goodies.

A plastic treasure chest is the perfect place to store and display the goody bags and you can't go wrong with buckets of candy plus some pickaxe pencils for fun non-candy treats. Remember to add a Minecraft pickaxe plus some inflatable pickaxe accents to the trunk!
