Mickey Themed Trunk or Treat

Mickey Themed Trunk or Treat

Do you love Halloween and Mickey Mouse? How about a fun kid-friendly non-spooky Mickey's Halloween Trunk or Treat? This super cute set up is perfect for neighborhood block parties and even a Fall Festival!

Mickey's Halloween Trunk or Treat Ideas

Halloween definitely doesn't have to be spooky to be fun! Why not decorate your trunk for the kiddos with fun and vibrant Halloween decorations featuring everyone's favorite icon, Mickey Mouse? Inspired by the Halloween Time celebrations at Disneyland, this Trunk or Treat idea is sure to be all treats and no tricks for the biggest Disney fans!

Mickey Trunk or Treat Decorations

Decorating the Trunk

Start the decorating and get noticed by setting up a fun Airblown Character and an over-sized Jack-O-Lantern or Poseable Hairy Spider in front of the trunk area. You can also use a Mickey Stand-Up to decorate the outside of the car. Decorate the interior by laying out a Halloween themed fabric or a tablecloth in the back of your vehicle. I always like to have lit decorations to light the way for the little ones and the battery operated Marquee Letters are perfect for Trunk or Treat displays. Spell out BOO with the letter ‘B’ and ‘O’ Marquee LettersSimply use the included traceable template to decorate the letters with cardstock in coordinating bright colors.

Halloween Candy and Decorations

Don't forget the Candy! It's always hot in our area, even in October! So, I usually opt for candy that won't melt in our high temperatures. Add more light to the scene with this fun and easy DIY Mickey Ghost Party Lantern, which includes LED lights.

Mickey's Bat Garland

Tissue Tassel Garlands are another great way to decorate your vehicle for Halloween. Add in some bats from the Halloween Bat Craft Kit and you have a custom Mickey Mouse Bat Tissue Garland.

Mickey Halloween Paper Lanterns

Add more Mickey inspired decorations by adding Mini Black Paper Lanterns to Jack 'O Lantern Hanging Paper Lanterns. Just adhere them with hot glue and you're all set! You can even add a Halloween bow for Minnie Mouse!

With potential social distancing measures in place with your trunk or treat this year, there are lots of ways to make trunk or treat fun and safe for everyone! Build stanchions to keep distance between cars and encourage social distancing. To make your own stanchions, fill galvanized pails with gravel. Place a garden stake in each pail and then slide a black craft noodle over each one. Finish your stanchions by pushing a foam pumpkin over the top of each garden stake. You can now tie plastic streamers from one stanchion to another to create dividers to use between cars or to mark social distancing areas. In addition, volunteers who are handing out candy can use grabbers to avoid picking up the candy and also wear Halloween themed face masks to help keep everyone safe. Remember to have some hand sanitizer available so it's easy for everyone to keep their hands clean.

I hope this fun Mickey's Halloween Trunk or Treat idea inspires you to create your own Mickey Mouse display this Halloween. Don't forget to check out the tutorial for the DIY Mickey Ghost Party Lanterns!
