As the quintessential character of childhood happiness, Mickey Mouse has captured hearts of families for decades. So, there's no better character to help celebrate your little one's first birthday than Mickey himself! This cheerful, modern and stylish Mickey party is perfect for a boy or girl and is full of plenty of DIY ideas for lots of Mickey fun. With a delightful palette of blue, white, red and black and a while lot of Mickey Mouse imagery and inspiration, this party is sure to win you over!
The Table:
The table was layered in a White Linen Table Cloth with a Blue Tablecloth Roll topped with a Red Striped Tablecloth Roll and a Disney Mickey Mouse on the Go Table cloth.
The Place Settings:
The place settings consisted of a Mickey on the Go Dinner Plate topped with a Mickey on the Go Dessert Plate.
The plates rested upon easy DIY Mickey Mouse silhouette inspired place mats that we created using Black Cardstock.
To the left of each place setting sat Red and White Striped Popcorn Boxes with added decor on the front. A star from a Mickey Mouse Fun to be One Hanging Decoration was outfitted with miniature Mickey silhouettes made from Black Cardstock.
To the right of each setting sat a Mason Jar decorated with Red and White Striped Satin Ribbon and a blue Mickey Mouse Silhouette.
Each Mason Jar was adorned with a fun Red and White Paper Straw.
To the side of each setting sat two layers of napkins, one Mickey on the Go Luncheon Napkin and one Mickey on the Go Beverage Napkin, which were topped with Red Utensils.
The Centerpiece:
In the center of the table sat adorable blue cupcakes topped with cupcake picks that we made out of Red and White Paper Straws and Mickey Mouse Party Blowouts.
To the left and right of our cupcakes sat two Pedestal Frames that displayed a classic Mickey Glove Cutout backed with Red and White Striped Satin Ribbon and Black Cardstock. Two small Self Adhesive Buttons were added to the base of each frame to replicate Mickey's iconic look!
At each end of our table sat two DIY Mickey Mouse Candy Centerpieces. Each Mickey Centerpiece was created with Mickey in mind, including his classic color palette of red, white and black, his adorable Buttons and of course his big round ears! Using simple supplies such as a DIY Flower Pot and a Pedestal Jar, we truly brought Mickey Mouse into our centerpiece!
The kids loved grabbing some delicious Blue Taffy from these adorable centerpieces!
The Backdrop:
We wanted to incorporate our color palette of light blue, red, white and black into the backdrop.
We lined our wall in Blue Paper and created a simple framed Mickey silhouette using a Black Frame Cutout, Black Cardstock and a piece of Red Striped Tablecloth Roll.
The Buffet Table:
The buffet table was dressed in a White Linen Tablecloth layered with a Blue tablecloth Roll topped with a Red Striped Tablecloth Roll and a Disney Mickey Mouse on the Go Tablecloth.
Simple Light Blue Tassels were strung across the front of the buffet.
In the center of our buffet sat a tiered tray with Mini Pedestal Dessert Cups full of red gelatin treats. Each cup was adorned with Mickey Buttons for an added detail.
Adorable Mickey Mouse Cups provided extra drinks for the kids and displayed Red and White Paper Straws.
To each side of our buffet sat lollipop stands full of delicious Red and White Swirl Lollipops for the kids to snack on.
The Favors:
We created simple yet fun DIY Mickey Mouse Favor Boxes by adding adorable Mickey Ears, Red and White Striped Satin Ribbon, delicious Blue Rock Candy Lollipops, and Mickey's signature Buttons to a simple Red Favor Box!
The kids loved taking these fun treat boxes home!
