We wanted to bring a fresh, atypical palette to life with this marigold and poppy inspired wedding that has a distinctly Indian feel! While these colors may typically be utilized for fall events, we loved giving them a light feel when mixed crisp whites and airy greenery.
Our table was set with a fresh, white polyester tablecloth with a large piece of cheerful yellow fabric used as a wide runner.
We kept the place settings clean and chic by layering a gold rimmed plastic dessert plate atop a gold rimmed plastic dinner plate and then topped both with a white polyester linen napkin. We folded the napkin to hold gold cutlery and adorned it with a personalized menu card napkin wrap.
This menu wrap was a lovely way to bring in a hint of our color palette to the place settings and was also super functional!
Our fragrant Marigold Tea Cocktail was served in classic champagne glasses and looked stunning on the table.
The fresh mix of marigold tea, gin and champagne creates a cocktail not many had tried before but are sure to try again and again! You can find the recipe for our Marigold cocktail here!
Our DIY Favor Boxes were made from white favor boxes painted a lovely poppy red and adorned with a tissue paper marigold flower.
This simple DIY was a fabulous way to send home a little token of the bride and groom's appreciation while continuing to bring their wedding inspiration to life. You can find our full tutorial for the favor boxes here!
Two silver dollar eucalyptus garlands added a pop of fresh greenery down the center of our table. We also mixed in a few round flameless candles and cylinder votive holders.
The cylinder votive holders were decorated with thin strips of gold washi tape and housed faux poppy blooms.
Our DIY Floral Backdrop was the perfect scene setter for our wedding table and bar cart. We simply painted gorgeous flower placemats and adhered them to our wall using glue dots.
Add in a few sprigs from the silver dollar eucalyptus garland and some faux poppy stems for an abstract detail and there you have it! You can follow our step-by-step backdrop tutorial here!
A gold bar cart was used to showcase more of our DIY Favor Boxes and the evening's cocktail!
