No longer just for kitchens, marble is taking over the wedding world. This versatile stone is perfect for wedding decor, whether you are planning a classic celebration or a boho affair. When paired with blush accents and peonies, marble takes on an elegant, feminine look. Come see how I incorporated marble in this wedding inspiration and learn how you can include marble in your wedding decor to create a modern wedding day look.
Place Settings
To create this marble tablescape I first laid a pink tablecloth on my table. I cut a piece of marble contact paper to the length of my table and placed in the center as a runner. Each place setting received a white marble dinner plate with a white marble dessert plate and pink dinner napkin. The marble of the plates complimented the table runner while the pink napkins were a perfect match for my tablecloth. I absolutely love the hexagon shape of these plates and the gold foil adds the perfect elegant touch.Gold trim place cards marked each place setting while white marble love coasters greeted each guest at their seat. The place settings were finished off with gold cutlery and white marble beverage napkins.
No marble wedding is complete without a unique marble treat and my recipe for marble bundt cake was the perfect compliment. Placed on a DIY marble cake stand this recipe is a fun surprise when cut into!
Centerpiece
I lined the center of my table with medium galvanized pots filled with faux pink peonies. These metal pots add a masculine tone to this very feminine tablescape while the gray shade compliments the marble table runner. The faux pink peonies completely steal the show and are so lush, you could be convinced they are real! I created DIY pink marble plates to compliment this marble and blush tablescape. You would never guess that these plates were made with nail polish and simple ceramic plates!
White marble hexagon favor boxes were filled with pink Hershey's Hugs and Kisses as wedding favors. Everyone loves receiving chocolate and these favor boxes provide a stylish way to present them.
To finish off my marble and blush wedding I created a backdrop using diamond tissue paper decorations. By using three different shades of pink I created an attractive backdrop that compliments rather than pull the focus from the tablescape.
