A beautiful, simply stated rainbow balloon garland was the focal point of our party and served as a stunning reference to our theme. To create it, we tucked Pink, Blue and Purple Balloons from the Pastel Balloon Garland Kit inside White 11" Latex Balloons to create pastel tones, then blew the balloons up by hand using the balloon pump that is included in the Garland Kit. We also added a few coral and yellow balloons to capture all of the rainbow colors of our celebration. A Balloon Decorating Strip and GlueDots® Mini Adhesive Dots are included in the Garland Kit, as well, to help you assemble the garland once all of your balloons have been inflated.
A table runner made of Silver Glitter Star Fabric Roll added just the right amount of sparkle to the dessert table setup, and Iridescent Tassel Garland hanging along the front side of the table gave the perfect festive touch.
The dessert table beneath the balloon garland proudly displayed the delectable birthday cake and a few whimsical goodies. We created edible party wands by cutting marshmallow crispy treats into star shapes, decorating with sprinkles, inserting a treat stick, then embellishing with rainbow-colored ribbons. To display the wands, we covered foam rectangles with wrapping paper, then arranged Ginger Ray Pastel Foil Rainbow Beverage Napkins along the front to create colorful treat stands.
Unicorn Favors (created by taping Pink Mini Twisty Lollipops to Unicorn Face Printables) and Shooting Star Favors (Star-Shaped Favor Containers filled with Sparkling Powder Blue Sixlets® Chocolate Candy and adorned with Shooting Star Free Printables) served as both party decor and treats for the kiddos.
When it was time to indulge in the cake and treats, a gathering table full of wonderfully whimsical elements awaited! A Light Pink Plastic Tablecloth was the canvas for the table and created a subtle backdrop for the party decor.
Hooray It's Your Birthday Pastel Star Wands in mini bud vases were used as the centerpiece for the table, and we wove a length of Iridescent Vinyl Twist in between the wands to add some texture and shimmer to the tablescape. Mini disco balls, stars from Gold Glitter Star Garland, and a sprinkling of White Tinsel Pom-Poms and Silver Foil Star-Shaped Confetti added the perfect helping of sparkle and shine to our wonder-filled table.
Absolutely adorable place settings awaited each child at the table and generated so much excitement! Talking Tables We Heart Unicorns Face Paper Dinner Plates and Ginger Ray Pastel Foil Rainbow Beverage Napkins were the main attraction at each seat. The super cute plates and napkins were accentuated with stars from Silver Glitter Star Garland, Pink Fork & Spoon Cutlery Set and Ginger Ray Rose Gold Pink Ombre Paper Cups that were adorned with Shooting Star Printables.
As the party neared its end, all of the kiddos were invited to fill up a favor bag full of goodies at our favor station. An incredibly cute handcrafted chandelier dangled above the bar cart full of favors and enhanced the whimsical vibe of the party decor. To create the chandelier, we cut Light Pink, White and Coral Plastic Tablecloths into strips, then looped the strips around the inside ring of a Large Embroidery Hoop. We repeated the process with long lengths of white, yellow, lavender and blue yarn. We tied long strips of white yarn to the ring and tied them in a knot at the top to create a loop that the chandelier could hang from. To finish off the chandelier, we hot glued Iridescent Vinyl Twist around the ring, then trimmed the tablecloth and yarn strips to create an angled bottom. This turned out so cute that it would make an adorable piece to hang in the birthday girl's room after the party is over!
The hanging chandelier carried the eyes down to the favor cart, where a glitter-framed "Believe in the Magic of Birthdays" Printable Art Print anchored the display. The shooting star favors and unicorn favors that were featured on the dessert table were also available on the favor cart for the kiddos to take home.
Bottles of "Birthday Magic" (Fairy Dust Necklaces) were secured to Printable Birthday Magic Cards and were a super fun way for the kids to take a little bit of birthday magic home with them. We removed the "fairy dust" labels from the necklaces prior to attaching them to the printables. I would also highly recommend hot gluing the corks to the bottles so that the birthday magic doesn't end up all of the floor of your home. ;)
A Medium Ginger Ray Pastel Striped Gift Bag with a printable Name Cloud Tag and Personalized Favor Tag was available for each child to load their goodies into to take home.
