For Splish Splash Week not only are we having fun in the sun, we’re looking fabulous too! Sunglasses are a must when heading to the pool, and we’ve kicked the ombre sunglasses up a notch with the addition of some pretty adhesive flowers and rhinestones. Our bedazzled shades look especially good paired with our DIY floral Hawaiian leis!

Get your tropical vibes on with these colorful DIY Hawaiian floral leis! This craft kit comes with pre-cut foam flowers and plastic straw spacers, making assembly easy even for younger campers. Stella and Hazel had a blast stringing together their floral leis in all the colors of the rainbow and then wearing them to the pool. The floral leis craft kit comes with enough flowers for 12 leis, making it a fun pool party activity.

The highlight of the week is a trip to the local pool for lots of splishing and splashing! We brought our favorite tropical pool floats to make it extra special including this giant pink flamingo float, watermelon float, and pineapple float. We’ll be enjoying these all summer long! These glow-in-the-dark rainbow inflatable pool noodles are also a fun alternative to traditional pool noodles.

Stella and Hazel brought a few Barbies® with them along to the pool. It turns out these Inflatable Pool Cup Holders not only work great for keeping a cold drink nearby in the pool, but they also make for the perfect toy-sized pool float! The girls loved having their Barbies® floating along with them, but any variety of small dolls or toys would fit well in the floats.

For a fun indoor craft, campers can make their own suncatchers to hang in the window. They can choose between the adorable Flip Flop, Tropical Surfboard, A Day at the Beach or the Tropical Suncatchers. Just set out the different suncatchers along with neon suncatcher paint pens on a protected surface. Then let the kids squeeze the paint onto the suncatcher however they like. The raised outlines on the suncatcher make it easy to “paint within the lines.” Let dry overnight and hang with a suction cup!

We’re doing lots of reading for Camp Fun, so why not make some pretty bookmarks to go with all the books we check out from the library? These Color Your Own Luau Fuzzy Bookmarks are perfect for Splish Splash week. Just grab some markers and color in the white areas on the bookmark. Loop the provided ribbon through the top to help you keep your place in your latest book.

These color-your-own-tropical flying discs are two activities in one! Campers can first have fun decorating their flying discs with permanent markers, and then they can take them outside for some frisbee playing. Try out some frisbee games such as hanging three hula hoops from a tree and having campers try to throw the frisbees through each of the hoops. Campers get a point for each hoop they go through. Or do a frisbee throwing race by dividing up into teams of two. The team that completes the most passes in 2 minutes wins!

What better craft than one that can be used as a toy? Not to mention, it actually floats! This 3D floating submarine is kid-friendly and easy to make with the 3D Floating Submarine Craft Kit. The kit includes self-adhesive foal pieces and plastic straws making it super simple to assemble with only two main materials.
