Low-Contact Storage Ideas for Student Supplies

Low-Contact Storage Ideas for Student Supplies

Having a neat and organized classroom is extremely important to help keep the day moving. This year, it's even more important to have student materials stored individually to limit any cross contamination. Use these cost-effective tips to store students' individual learning materials using a Locking Lid Pencil & Marker Storage Containers, Transparent Folders with Touch Fasteners, Solid Color Book Bin, and Neon Tall Storage Baskets with Handles. Make sure to download and print out the FREE storage labels here too!

Start by storing each student's classroom writing materials in a Locking Lid Storage Container. These containers are very sturdy and items will not fall out due to the locking lid! I love that I can also stack the containers on the counter after disinfecting them daily. The containers are large enough to fit 24-Color Crayola® Crayons, Elmer's Glue Sticks, Dry Erase Markers, and Mini Dry Erase Erasers. You can grab the FREE label here.

The Transparent Folders with Touch Fasteners are the perfect size to store students' individual Draw & Write Journals, Mini Magnetic Dry Erase Boards, and any worksheets needed throughout the week. The Transparent Folders with Touch Fasteners can easily be cleaned off and will help keep individual journals and dry erase boards organized.

The Small Round Storage Jars with Bright Lids are perfect to store math manipulatives for individual use. Add a FREE NUMBER LABEL to the front of the jar to help students keep track of their very own jar! I love this storage solution because I can easily change out the manipulatives whenever I need.

I keep the Small Round Storage Jars with Bright Lids in a Pastel Classroom Small Round Storage. This keeps the manipulatives easy to access but decreases the chance of students playing with them during a different lesson.

Store students' individual Locking Lid Storage Containers and Transparent Folders Learning Kits in a Solid Color Book Bin. These materials plus a Storage Cup can fit into the book bin easily. The storage cups are also the perfect size to store a set of Crayola Markers®.

And if your playground is currently closed, the Neon Tall Storage Baskets with Handles are the perfect size for little hands to carry outside. I have stored individual sets of Crayola® Dough Tubs, Crayola® Ultimate Sidewalk Chalk, and jump ropes in Neon Tall Storage Baskets. Attach a FREE LABEL using a Binder Ring. Students can quickly grab their container before heading outside. I know that having student materials and recess equipment organized and ready to go will help my class's day go by as smoothly as possible even during this hectic time!
