Llama Directed Drawing

I like to fill our first week of school with lots of hands-on learning! Directed drawings are a great way to integrate art into the classroom! They are also great for listening and following directions—two skills that are important to discuss and practice the first week of school. Students enjoy doing these and I always love how they all turn out so uniquely, even though we are drawing the same thing. You can get the directions for free and read more about how to do the Llama Directed Drawing here.

I believe it is so important to read aloud to our kids all year long, but I especially like to pick out some extra special books for our first week together! I enjoy introducing my kids to great series, and these Llama Llama books are always a hit.
