Brides keeping up with the latest trends will know that Pantone's Color of the Year for 2019 is Living Coral and they will no doubt be exuberantly looking for ways to add it into their wedding in one way or another. The spirited color isn't one for the shy bride, but instead for those who unabashedly leap towards bold hues. Pairing living coral with pale pink, yellow and gold provides a decidedly vivacious color palette for spring and summer weddings.
Modern Meets Traditional Decor
Our Pantone Living Coral Wedding was hosted in the charming Loft on Louisiana and was a feast for the eyes. The exposed brick window wall paired with the crisp white of the remaining walls and wood floors allowed our lively color palette to shine without being overpowering. Light pink, yellow and coral lanterns were modernized with gold splatter paint and hung from the ceiling over our table to warm up all the white in the room.
A vintage window frame with its clean lines leaned against the white brick wall behind our cake table and was dressed up with paper poppies that were secured using glue dots.
The flowers were the perfect pop of energizing color to the otherwise white wall and softened the modern lines of the window frame.
We attached an additional coral paper poppy to a vintage rattan chair, which sat at the ready for bride and groom photos.
Light pink and yellow paper lanterns were accessorized with dip-dyed tissue paper tassel garlands and hung from the ceiling. We loved how our DIY coral and pale pink color-blocked lantern looked hanging over a bar cart in the corner of the room.

Raising the Bar
Our bar cart was kept simple and displayed a tray of our signature coral cocktail and a delightful floral arrangement. A clear cylinder jar was spray painted white to mimic the look of milk glass. We filled our jar with coral, pink and yellow blooms. It looked stunning paired with a white hobnail candle votive.
We concocted a superb Pink Grapefruit Elderflower Rosé Cocktail that tasted as beautiful as it looked! You can find the recipe for the effervescent cocktail here.
Our Pink Grapefruit Elderflower Rosé Cocktails looked stunning in gold stemmed champagne flutes sitting atop a DIY color-blocked tray. The tray was a quick and easy creation that was made by painting a DIY slat sign two shades of coral, then adding a bit of gold splatter paint. It was a wonderful way to bring in more of the living coral color to our bar cart.
Individual bottles of pink bubbly sat atop a white box with gold trim next to a gold vase that was filled with beautiful blooms. A clear thank you favor jar, filled with shimmering coral chocolates, was topped with a coral flower bud and a sprig of silver dollar eucalyptus.

Missy P Sweets created the most insanely beautiful cake with ruffles, which sat atop a white cake stand. This cake was made to mimic the petals of the paper poppies that hang behind our cake table.
Offering your guests a choice of sweet treats at your wedding is always a good idea. Who wouldn't want to have their cake and eat gorgeous cookies too?
These exquisite, flower-covered cookies, also from Missy P Sweets, were arranged on white plastic trays and tasted just as delicious as they looked!
One last look at the cake and all her coral, ruffly goodness!
The Tablescape
Our wooden table was softened with a light chiffon coral runner adorned with candles and florals.
We kept our table centerpiece somewhat modest. A clear cylinder jar, that we spray painted white, sat in the middle and held an array of exquisite stems in our vibrant color palette. Taper candles were placed on either side of our floral arrangement in a silvertone candle holder set that received a coat of gold spray paint. We love how the small white hobnail glass votives helped to add dimension to our centerpiece.
The Place Settings
The warm wood tones of the flooring, table and chairs contrasted nicely with the bright white of our dinner and dessert plates. Gold metallic cutlery sat to the left of our plates, while our signature coral drink, the Pink Grapefruit Elderflower Rosé Cocktail, stood tall in gold-stemmed champagne flutes to the right.
DIY slat signs were color-blocked in shades of coral and acted as placemats for each place setting. They showcased the Pantone color effortlessly and looked impeccable under the elegant white plates.
Silver dollar eucalyptus and small coral flowers were tucked into napkins that were knotted on top of each place setting. Using unexpected items, such as yellow polka dot dishtowels for napkins, adds a playful touch to the table.
Lastly, send your guests home with a treat to thank them for being so sweet. We filled clear thank you favor jars with coral colored chocolate candies that rested on each place setting and coordinated with our theme perfectly.
