The Table

The table was dressed in a mermaid tail tablecloth that had a color palette of purples and sea green.

This color palette, which reminded us of Ariel's classic colors, helped to inspire the whole look and feel of this party.

The Place Settings

Each place setting was styled with a white scalloped plastic charger plate, a square purple dinner plate and a mermaid scale plate resting on top.

The Centerpiece

Little Mermaid Party Ideas

We wanted our DIY Centerpiece to really pay homage to the film, and it did just that! Marquee lights were transformed with coordinating napkins and mod podge.

The Backdrop

Little Mermaid Party Ideas

We wanted to create a gorgeous Mermaid Scale Inspired Backdrop to be the setting for our Ariel party!

Little Mermaid Party Ideas

We created an ombre pattern of layered paper plates to create the illusion of a mermaids tail using white, mint, teal, lavender and purple plates. We opted for Ariel's traditional teal and purple colors to create our pattern.

The Dessert Buffet

In the center of the table sat another portion of our backdrop. We layered various pieces of the mermaid table cloth and added them to an over sized white frame.

A large white rectangular tray was filled with decorative candies and our adorably sweet dessert recipe, Ariel's Dinglehopper Rice Krispie Treat!

These candy-laden marshmallow treats were inspired by Ariel's look and her favorite utensil, a dinglehopper (or a fork)!

To the left of the framed backdrop sat a tiered dessert stand with decorative cupcakes for our guests to enjoy. Tiny mermaid tails and teal candies look adorable on top!

To the right sat mermaid tail cookies from Bakery Bling which looked oh so cute on a mermaid themed tiered teat stand!
