Take a look at the Little Llama First Birthday Party that I have styled with darling llama party supplies. I designed this party with the knowledge that as a sleep-deprived mother, you need some easy, go-to party supplies that will make it look like you spent hours DIYing, when in reality, it’s an easy and spectacular party set-up. Scroll through the whole party for pictures as well as tips on how to style this party yourself.
Party Highlights One of my favorite things about talking parties is to get into the head of the stylist. Yes, when I get together with my fellow party planning nerd friends, we share not only our good ideas but the small details of planning our latest party. So, I would love to share some of the details and highlights of this party with you! My favorites from this party include the following:
- The adorable little llama cupcake toppers inserted in the delicious cupcakes
- The giant white balloons with tissue tassels
- The pom-poms strung together hanging down the wall
- Darling little treats in the mini popcorn boxes
You see, I love the small details in parties. Just like the suckers, llama plush and squirt toys, pencils and notepads, and everything else that adds to the perfect party. All of the details come together in harmony to create a visual pop! Did you know that the first thing I do when I begin to style and plan a party is to create a color pallet? I normally use the 60-30-10 rule. This rule in decorating is that the main color is 60 percent of the party. The 30 percent of the party is a secondary color, and the final 10 percent is the third color. Now, I don't only use 3 colors in every party, but it is a great rule to follow. As you can see in this Little Llama First Birthday Party, the main party color is white, with the secondary color being pink, and the last color being blue. Now that you have the details, enjoy the party!!
You can make your own cupcakes, or save time by having your local baker whip some up for you. Covered in these cute cupcake wrappers, and placed on a llama cupcake stand, they really are a highlight of the party.
The visual interest and whimsical ambiance is created by filling large latex balloons with helium and stringing long, flowing tassels on them. Tassels are also hung on the wall.
What could be cuter than a pink llama on a party hat? Only a pink llama on a party hat that is adorned with a pom-pom! I added the pom-poms to the hats for a little extra fun.
Pink and white fringe banners were hung criss-cross above the table creating a new level of decor.
I had this ice cream cone holder hanging around from an ice cream party I styled years ago. It made a perfect display piece for our DIY Llama Cones.
