When you are a kid one of the most anticipated parts of the holiday season is writing your letter to Santa. Bring the magic and excitement of this time honored holiday tradition to life in a big way with a Letters to Santa Party!
Every year I like to change the theme of my Christmas tree, and this year I created a colorful Polar Post Cards to Santa themed Christmas tree. I fell so in love with this whimsical themed tree and it's magic, that I decided it would be fun to create a holiday party for my kids to kick off the season in style. Christmas is such a magical time of the year, and as a child one of the best parts of Christmas is dreaming up your wish list for Santa. So I turned this ordinary holiday tradition into an extraordinary event that would be a magical memory for my children.
You can create this simple party for just your kids, or invite the neighbor kids over for a magical afternoon of laughter and fun. The kids will love filling out the official Letter to Santa printable, from the DIY Letter to Santa Writing Kit, and letting Santa know if they have been naughty or nice.
I kept things very simple for this party and set-up a small vintage desk near my Letters to Santa Christmas tree. I hung the light-up Santa Stop Here Sign and Peppermint Swirl Decorations on the wall behind the desk for a festive touch.
My favorite part of these simple party decorations is the DIY Felt Letter to Santa Garland hanging from the front of the vintage desk. These can even double as party favors filled with sweet treats as a memento of how much fun the kids had writing to the jolly old Saint Nick.
While the kids are dreaming up their wish list they will enjoy munching on North Pole Snack Mix, complete with reindeer noses, elf kisses and Santa hats. We all know that Santa has a sweet tooth, so there will be plenty of cookies, cupcakes and candy canes too!
I used the fun Cheery Santa Christmas Dinner Plates and Cheery Christmas Paper Cups with handle for our table setting. On each chair, I draped a Fabulous Felt Santa Hat for each kid to wear while writing their letter to Santa.
Once everyone is done writing their letter to Santa they can place their letters in the special Santa's Mailbox.
This party is sure to start the holiday season in an extraordinary way! Don't forget to check out our Letters to Santa Writing Kit, North Pole Snack Mix and DIY Felt Letters to Santa Envelope Garland.
