Plant Magnetic Card Life Cycles Time Line

Students will love making a timeline of a plants life cycle with Plant Magnetic Life Cycles cards. These are big, sturdy magnetic cards with vibrant plant cycle pictures. A fun game is to mix up the cards among 5 students, and have them quickly get in order in line of the plant life cycle. You can even use a timer and divide up into teams, so all students get a chance. Teachers will love being able to display the cards with words on a white board.

This is a great way to teach about helper bugs! How some bugs can help plants to pollinate and grow! After sharing this knowledge with students, kids can create their own Bugs and Flowers Sticker Scene to take home. They will love learning how bees and butterflies help pollinate flowers and trees and how ladybugs and other bugs protect plants by eating aphids or other harmful insects in the flower garden. Kids will love creating a pretty picture to take home and share with their family.

After teaching about the plant life cycle, kids can create an interactive wheel using the Free Life Cycle Printables. They will love being able to share what they know using the wheel and plant vocabulary. Just print, cut and attach the two circles with a paper fastener or brad. After learning about the plant cycle, kids can plant and observe the growth of their own plant! Using awesome Seed Pots , kids can add soil and seeds to start their plant cycle! They can add water, and sunshine to help their plant grow! It is also great to have students journal about their plant growing, and to keep a record of each stage!

Parts of a Flower

This Learning Resources Cross Section Flower Model is a perfect teaching tool for parts of a flower. This model shows a cross section design of a tulip and all of its parts. I love that kids can open the tulip to see what is inside! You could even bring in real flowers to show different parts of a flower, or plant. Students can also draw or paint a flower and label each part of the flower.
