Summer fun is quickly coming to an end, so why not say so long summer in style. Get ready to throw a last splash back to school bash. Get your family and friends together for one last splash and make some memories before heading back to class. This pool party will be one you won't forget just add some fun treats, cool crafts and splash time with your friends for a pool party that will get you through 'til next summer rolls around.
Set the stage for a splashing good time with a fun under water theme. With glittery mermaids and some salty sharks your party guests will love this party that's perfect for boys and girls! Creating a party backdrop is quick and easy and adds a lot of color and fun. For this backdrop the Last Splash banner is front and center. Light blue fringe streamers, iridescent fringe and hanging bubbles help to give it that underwater look. Get the step-by-step instructions for this backdrop here.
To decorate the table start with a mint plastic table cloth. Use the iridescent fringe table skirt to line the front of your table. Add some colorful tassel banners at different heights to layer the look. We chose lilac and mint.
The sharks will be circling your table when you have treats as yummy as these! I love keeping the cake front and center on my party tables. Don't forget the cupcakes! Be sure to grab the recipe for fun-filled Shark Cupcakes.
Drape some of the light blue fringe streamers around the base of your cake stand and add some shark fins to surround your cake.
Add some party favors for your last splash guests and your table is all set. The shark candy necklaces and shark bubbles were a huge hit! For the kids who didn't want to swim the whole time we had a DIY shark slime station where they could concoct some glittery shark slime to play with. Get the Shark Slime Recipe here! They had such a fun time making their slime and playing with shark squirters.
With all this summer fun heading back to school is the last thing on their minds. So be sure to snap a few fun photos to remember the fun all year long. The shark photo prop makes it easy to capture a few fun smiles.
To get your pool ready to party you just need to add a few fun elements. Throw in beach balls in various sizes and colors. I love the white beach balls and the colored beach balls because they look a little like waves. For this party we stuck with the purple and blue ones. If your pool party is going into the nighttime hours be sure too add in a few glow in the dark beach balls. Float a few large Jellyfish rafts and pool noodles for your guests to play with as well. Some out of the water games are also fun to include like the inflatable shark bean bag toss game.
Now your party guests are ready to splash their way into a new school year with memories that will last a lifetime!
