I am so excited to share my Kids Painting Party with you today. This party is something that my daughter has wanted for a year now. She was so happy to invite over some friends and be able to have a creative party where she and her friends could show off their artistic sides.
Creating the Look For the Cookie Decorating Table, I started with a White Flannel Back Tablecloth and added on some Assorted Colors Latex Balloons and the Little Artist Paint Bucket Garland. I also added in the Young Artist Learn to Paint Kit bag so that each child could take it home with one of the Little Artist Frosted Suckers.
I love using a white background so bright colors can pop against it. It is simple but has major impact. For more details on this table you can see my, Cookie Decorating post.
For the art table, I started with the Artist Party Tablecloth, which is thicker than most plastic tablecloths and can be wiped off easily. Then I added the Bucket Containers with Sharpie Fine Point Markers in one, Jumbo Chubby Brushes in another bucket, and Colored Pencils in another. These added color, but were also useful for the party when kids wanted to use them.
One of the DIY Painting Kits for Kids was set at each place. Check out my post on putting the kits together too!
The kids were so excited to get painting! We all went to the Cookie Decorating Station, did self-portrait drawings, and then the kids got to painting. It was so fun to see what each of them chose to paint.
We might have to do this more often because it was definitely a hit! Make sure you check out my Cookie Decorating Table, Self-Portrait Printable, and DIY Painting Kit for Kids posts for more details.
