Set the Scene
I decided to host this Hocus Pocus crafting party in our living room. There is a large fireplace which is the perfect setting for our coven to boil up some toil and trouble.
Inside the fireplace I used Deluxe Creepy Cloth Wall Decoration to make the fireplace a little darker and spookier. It also served as a cover for the end of the super fun Plush Witch's Legs sticking out from the fire. The girls had such a giggle over these.
I placed the witch's hat next to her legs. Then on top of the fire grate I used gold bones as "firewood" and placed the largest of the Black Cauldrons on top after filling it with candy.
I then added my favorite new product this Halloween, Spellbound Witchy Wood Signs. They come in a set of three and say all the right things for a witches party. Next to the witch's legs I also placed her familiar, a cat.
I then used Black Metal Lanterns on one side of the fireplace and a Spider Web Candelabra on the other side.
The Mantel
Rather than clutter up the crafting table I used the fireplace mantel for my Easy No-Carve Hocus Pocus Halloween Pumpkins. These can also be used as a table centerpiece or porch decor for your Hocus Pocus party. Find out how to make yours HERE.
I used images of Halloween and quotes from the movie on the pumpkins and placed them on top of a fabulous Spellbound Mantel Scarf.
At the far end of the mantel I added candlesticks painted black, mercury candle holders and some fun witchy accents. From spell books clutched by a skeletons hand to a crystal ball, an all seeing eye and a skull on display globe.
A spooky black crow dressed for the party oversees the potion making. Find out how to DIY your own dressed crow HERE.
Above the mantel I created a party backdrop based on the brooms used by the Sanderson sisters after theirs are stolen in the Hocus Pocus movie. Get the template and find out how to make your own backdrop HERE.
The Table
I used a low table for the coven's potion making with throw cushions and black furs for seating. A cozy spot for the girls to craft a spell!
I then used purple velvet fabric as a table cover. On top of this I folded up a strip of Fadeless® Art Black Paper Roll to use as a runner on the table. I love using art paper as a runner for kids parties as it means there is always emergency entertainment available. I gave the little witches chalk pens to write up spells and color on the runner.
In the middle of the table I used a Glitzy Cauldron and filled it full of slime; the base for all of the most powerful potions. Next to this mini cauldrons for the witches to decorate and fill with slime to take home.
At one end of the table I added a Black Cauldron full of stickers and gemstones to decorate the cauldrons with. At the other end beakers, Mini Plastic Pedastal Candy Containers with Lids and Mini Plastic Candy Containers with Lids full of fun things like sequins and googly eyes to add to their potions (slime).
The Table Settings
I started with Premium Plastic Gold Square Dessert Plate as a charger and then used a Goofy Ghouls Paper Dinner Plate on top. This is such a fun new Halloween tableware range. I love the fun colors and graphics.
Next to each setting, I used a Purple Luncheon Napkin with Premium Metallic Gold Cutlery on top.
At each setting I sat each witches familiar, a Halloween Arching Stuffed Cat. I then used a mix of Purple Striped Paper Straws and Purple Chevron Paper Straws in Goofy Ghouls Paper Cups for drinking potions.
The girls made friends with their new familiars very quickly!
Last but not least, a witch needs a wand to cast her spell upon the bubbling potion! You can download the free printable tag to tie to the wand with Halloween Bakers Twine.

Crafting Up A Potion
The kids had a lot of fun decorating their cauldrons and creating slime potions. Get the full DIY for this fun kids craft HERE.
Edible Potions & Witch Charms
Next to the fireplace and away from the potion making I used a bar cart for the food and drinks. The Spellbound Pillar Buntings provide the perfect backdrop for these edible potions! Wicked and Spooky in fact!!
On the top level of the bar cart I used a Glass Jar Set and filled them with witch potion ingredients. Yummy goodies like Witch Finger Gummy Candy (Severed Fingers), pretzels (Tarantula Legs), edible frogs and the Eyeballs Gummy Candy (Human eyeballs) and gumballs (Sliced Toadstools).

I also used beakers of to hold liquid potions like juice and soda.
I also made some extra pumpkins to decorate the bar cart with.
The girls get a lot of candy over Halloween so I added a few fun favors to the mix. A Short Round Pedastal Jar filled with Layered Witch Rings and another of Bright Color Witch Broom Pens for writing spells.
On the bottom level of the bar cart I used a large Black Cauldron. It was filled it with popcorn (I first lined the cauldron prior to putting in the popcorn.) and a sprinkling of eyeballs. Around this I placed our witches party hats. A witch needs to look her best after all!
Don't those eyeballs look good....nothing like biting down on a tasty eyeball when you eat your popcorn!
My little witches had a fabulous time creating a bunch of Hocus Pocus. I hope yours do to and enjoy crafting a spell or two this Halloween!
