Halloween Crafting Party

Halloween Crafting Party

We are celebrating Halloween all month long this October and we kicked off this past weekend with a major Halloween Crafting Party! It was so much fun. I am so excited to share all the Halloween crafting goodness with you. You can do all of the crafts below for a party, or pick one or two for a Halloween playdate or just to have some fun with your children at home.

Halloween Crafting Party

Halloween Crafting Party Our witch's brew came first. The kids went nuts over this! In the cauldron was about 5lbs of slime. It was spooky and slimey and totally gross! The kids loved it. They could pick from all the sticky eyeballs and slugs and spiders and add them into their witch's brew. Halloween Crafting Party Kids could come over and label their mason jar with markers and make a broom from a stick and rolled up paper with slits cut into it, fastened with a rubber band. It was so much fun to see all their smiling faces as they oozed the slime out of the cauldron. Halloween Crafting Party

Trick or Treating Bags

Next were our Halloween Trick or Treating Bags, which were perfect for the kids to put all their goodies in from the crafting party.

Halloween Crafting Party Kids were invited to draw a halloween scene of their choice with Sharpies or oil pastels and paint over it with liquid watercolors. Each bag came out unique and super fun. Halloween Crafting Party We prepared all of the skull puppets ahead of time by adding glue gun glue to the tip of a black spray painted dowel and sticking it through the hole at the bottom and pressing it up against the skull. We used a large piece of Styrofoam decorated Halloween style to hold all the skulls. It worked really well. Halloween Crafting Party Kids were invited to use a brush to add white glue all over the skull and add tissue paper squares, glitter, some glow in the dark paint and some sequins. Each one came out totally unique and really cool. The kids loved them!!
