Setting the Scene:
We hosted this Holiday Cookie Decorating Playdate using some of these fabulously festive Christmas toys and decor along with some yummy yuletide treats and the kids just LOVED it!
The Delicious DIY Cookie Toppings Bar
We featured a DIY Toppings Bar so the boys could easily decorate their cookies however they liked and with ease!
The paint palettes were the perfect way to house various holiday themed sprinkles, Christmas Chocolate Candies and icing! Each boy had their palette which they were very excited about!
Note: The paint palettes are not tested as food safe, so we recommend using room temperature food only.
We put a few favorite holiday candies Chalkboard Candy Jars, including Red Candy Sticks and red and white gumballs. Each jar sat on a painted DIY Wood Tray. This was a quick and easy way to make the jars stand out on the white table!
Yummy treats including chocolate covered marshmallow pops and reindeer and peppermint swirl Oreo’s were a hit with the boys as well! There was no stopping them when it came to taking a quick snack break in between decorating cookies!
What a better way to wash down those sweet treats than with a delicious cup of hot cocoa served in Cheery Christmas Cups?! Yum!
The Dining Table:
The Dining table was set with a White Rectangle Tablecloth and Red Chevron & Polka Dot Table Runner. White cake plates showcased more of our recipe for Green & Red Christmas Chocolate Candy Cookies, delicious Oreo’s and spectacular sugar cookies! The Very Merry Christmas Tassel Garland made for the perfect backdrop.
Each little decorator’s place setting included a red charger, white dinner plate, Cheery Christmas Santa Dinner Plate, a Cheery Christmas Cup with more hot cocoa, their sprinkle and icing filled paint palette, a Chalkboard Place Card Clip with their name on it and a Holiday Baking Apron and Chef Hat!
After decorating their cookies, the boys had a blast coloring the Color Your Own Santa’s Workshop. We did a bit of our own decorating on Santa’s Workshop using Green Rock Candy Pops and Red Rock Candy Pops as holiday tinsel!
Lastly, our guys put together some DIY Hot Cocoa Ornaments in Santa Suit Baking Cups to take home as a small token of the fun they just had!
