A Jurassic World birthday party can only mean one thing, tons of ferocious fun! We are bringing everyone's favorite prehistoric dinosaurs back to life for a fun birthday party. So stomp, chomp, growl and roar your way on over to this prehistoric celebration where we are taking a walk on the wild side with a DIY Jeep Dessert Table, Dinosaur Terrarium Kits and delicious Dinosaur Terrarium Pudding Cups. My son has been in love with dinosaurs since he was a baby. We have more dinosaurs than I can count and it seems like we are always adding to our collection, especially with all the buzz around the new Jurassic World movie. It's all he can talk about, so it only made sense that we throw a Jurassic World Birthday Party.
I decided to channel the jungle island vibe for this celebration and created a simple backdrop with paper streamers, bamboo garland, palm leaves, and balloons. I also thought it would be fun to make the dessert table look like a jeep emerging from the jungle so I used a few simple craft supplies to make DIY Jeep Dessert Table.
Oriental Trading has so many cool Jurassic World themed party supplies, including the large cardboard dinosaur cut outs. My son's favorite dinosaur is the Raptor so I ended up ordering that one to flank the table. Although, I think it would be fun to have lots of these creepy characters hanging out around the party!
Next, I filled the dessert table with a few simple, but fun party snacks. The DIY Dinosaur Terrarium Pudding Cups were the biggest hit of the party, the kids loved these fun treats and couldn't wait to dig in.
When it comes to parties I'm all about simple and easy, so I purchased a store bought cake and added a few extra elements like mini plants and a dinosaur.
Two wood slat crates sat on the edge of the dessert table and I filled them with some of the dinosaur toys, which the kids could play with during the party and then take home as a party favor. The other one held the DIY Dinosaur Terrarium Kits, which was our party activity. The kids had lots of fun creating their own little dinosaur jungle, and now they can keep a little piece of the party with them.
After we spent time making our little dinosaur terrarium crafts it was time to dig in to cake! I set the table with lots of colorful Jurassic World party supplies and added greenery, and a dinosaur terrarium I made in the short round pedestal jar.
This prehistoric celebration was lots of fun and full of creative activities that kept the kids engaged. I love that I was able to find everything I needed to bring this Jurassic World themed party to life. With a good mix of traditional party supplies, and themed products my son had the dinosaur party he had always hoped for!
