Italian Inspired Navy & Lemon Wedding

Italian Inspired Navy & Lemon Wedding

Be inspired by summer holidays in Italy. From the olive groves of Tuscany, to the cliff top views of the Amalfi coast, or sailing into Capri on a yacht, summer in Italy provides dreamy inspiration for stunning wedding decor.

I took the bright and vibrant Mediterranean combination of yellow, with navy & white stripes as the palette. The contrast between bright and dark, lemon and navy really pops and you'll love the resulting wedding pictures.

Read on for ideas on how you can incorporate navy & lemon with natural citrus and olive elements to create a relaxed holiday feel for your wedding.

Crisp Fresh Tables

Transform your reception to capture the feel of lunch beside the Mediterranean. Start with crisp white linens and layer with a fresh Navy Striped Table Runner.

Italian Chianti in beautiful wicker texture bottles, double as table decor down the center of the table. Pair this with a unique lemon tree potted in a Medium Galvinized Pot with a wicker cover. Citrus trees are a cost effective alternative to florals as a table centerpiece.

I also added small white ceramic vases at either end of the table for a fresh Mediterranean feel. These DIY Ceramic Vases can also be painted in lemon and navy to tie in with the color palette.

A Setting for an Italian Feast

If you are celebrating with an authentic Italian feast then provide plenty of layers of tableware for the delicious courses of food. I started with a rattan charger with a Burlap Wedding Charger on top. I then added a white dinner plate followed by plates in the wedding color palette: the yellow followed by a navy napkin and a Navy Striped Paper Dessert Plate.

As a nod to the summer vibe of this celebration I added a pair of Black Nomad Sunglasses at each setting.

Vineyard Inspired Cake Table

The cake table was covered with the same fresh white linen and navy striped runner. As decor, I used a larger olive tree, wicker covered bottles and the fabulous Blue Glass Sphere With Rope that are reminiscent of an Italian yachting holiday.

In the middle of the table sits a 3 tier naked cake decorated with fresh greens and mini lemons. I used a Clear Candy Buffer Cylinder with the top of a Footed Cake Stand on top of it. For a unique vineyard look I filled the base with Wine Bottle Corks.

Next to this I placed the White Candle Holder Set. I sat lemons on top of these instead of candles for a fun and quirky look. These were placed in front of framed wine cork art.
