I'm excited to share how you can create a simple and fun Couples Bridal Shower for yourself or someone you know who loves BBQ!
I Do BBQ Party Decor & Personalized Stationary
Like with any event, you'll want to set the tone with fun Personalized Invitations and party stationery. The red and black plaid pairs perfectly with burlap and rustic decor. Set out a mini BBQ grill for your table centerpiece and use it to display desserts and cupcakes.Carry on the playful BBQ theme with Galvanized Buckets and paper liners. I added a vinyl die cut BBQ utensils joined by a heart that I created with my cutting machine to match the invitation.
Every celebration and get together deserves a little party favor or parting gift. Say "thank you" with fun "I Do" BBQ Sauce Party favors. I'm sharing how you can whip these up easily with my step-by-step tutorial HERE. Don't forget the personalized Thank You cards. Not only are they perfect for sending your thank you correspondence, they make great little signs for your party favor display.
Personalized Water Bottle Labels add that extra touch to the beverage tub!
Add a little bit of rustic charm to the front of the main table with my tutorial for a DIY I Do BBQ Banner. You can see the step by step instructions HERE.
I Do BBQ Tablescape & Food
When hosting a couples shower, you'll want to make sure everyone has a proper place to dine. BBQ is a messy meal after all and no one wants to eat on their lap. Set up a table layered with burlap fabric and a DIY table runner. I made a coordinating table runner using my cutting machine, Kraft Paper Roll and black vinyl, but it can easily be made with paint too!Just because it's a BBQ, doesn't mean you can be a little fancy! Wood Chargers layered with tin pie plates and red gingham plates add just the perfect amount of elegance to a back yard BBQ. Add a cloth napkin and rustic cutlery to an "I DO BBQ" Cake Bag for the perfect presentation. Top Mason Jars with a Buffalo Plaid cupcake wrapper and paper straw for Ice Tea or Lemonade. I also added a small pig to wood coaster to carry on the theme.
It's all about presentation when hosting a shower. Use Glass Jars with lids to serve chips and potato salad. You can get my recipe for Mom's Potato Salad HERE. Line serving ware with paper food liners and let the guests dig in!
Desserts are a must. You can use cupcake liners under caramel apples for a clean display. When I think BBQ, I always think Apple Pie, so be sure to have enough on hand for all of your guests to enjoy.
I Do BBQ Party Game Add a little bit of competitive fun with a DIY "Put a Ring On It" Ring Toss Game. Couples will have a blast playing against each other. You can even have the gals play against the guys! I'm sharing my full step by step tutorial HERE.
I hope you are inspired to create a fun "I Do" BBQ to celebrate an upcoming wedding. Be sure to check out other BBQ ideas including my recipe for Mom's Potato Salad and my tutorials for the DIY I Do BBQ Banner, Put A Ring on It Ring Toss Game and BBQ Sauce Party Favors!
