We have a special tradition in our home of having a nice dinner to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with family and friends. My husband will make the traditional corned beef and cabbage while I like to decorate the table for the meal. St. Patrick’s Day decor can tend to look more at home in an Irish Pub than your dining room, but it is possible to create an elegant table while still incorporating iconic St. Patrick’s Day decorations such as shamrocks and gold coins! Read on for my take on a simple, sophisticated St. Patrick’s Day dinner table!
Place Settings To create an elegant St.Patrick's Day dinner table, start with lots of gold! These gold border plates and metallic gold cutlery are beautiful while also being disposable, making for super easy clean up after the meal. The shamrock cloth napkins are actually bandannas, but your guests will never know! More gold is incorporated in the gold stemmed champagne glasses, and the "Lucky U" favor bags filled with chocolate gold coins round out each place setting. Honeycomb Ball Table Runner I used green and gold honeycomb balls to create a festive centerpiece for the table. Find the full tutorial here! I first ran a gold glitter table runner down the center of the table and then arranged the honeycomb ball garland on top, scattering chocolate gold coins and shimmering shamrocks among it.
Elegant St. Patrick's Day Decor I dressed up our dining room buffet with more St. Patrick's Day decor including this shamrock wreath I made from party fans.
Gold Foiled Champagne Bucket This DIY gold foiled champagne bucket was so easy to make and adds another sophisticated dose of gold to the decor.
I set the champagne out along with the gold stemmed champagne glasses, shamrock napkins, and shamrock drink stirrers.
This will be our 5th year of hosting a special St. Patrick's Day dinner, and I think it's going to be the best one yet!
