Ho, ho, holy cow, this just might be the cutest way to await Santa’s arrival ever! Christmas magic comes to life in this adorable sleepover idea at the North Pole Bed & Breakfast, where the kiddos decorate cookies for Santa, play festive holiday games, then nestle themselves inside adorable gingerbread tents, surrounded by pillowy snowflakes and a cozy, crackling fire. Use our free printable collection and whimsical ideas to bring this enchanting celebration to life.

Gingerbread Village Stand-Ups and our adorable, hand drawn North Pole Bed and Breakfast Poster set the stage for this spectacular sleepover. The stand-ups transform the space into an authentic looking North Pole, and an old, thrifted frame gives the poster print a charming North Pole elegance. Tabletop Evergreen Trees, Snowflakes Tissue Paper Hanging Decorations, Nordic Sweater-Inspired Yarn Ball Ornaments, Christmas Crew Garland, Gold Glitter Star Garland stars attached to LED Gold Photo Clip String Lights, Candy Cane Elf Craft Kits, Large Snowflake Hanging Decorations and a string of White Jingle Bells with Snowflakes arranged around the print and on the adjoining shelves add whimsy & excitement to the vibe of the sleepover.
Watching the kids realize that they each get to cozy up in a Christmas Gingerbread House Play Tent of their very own may be one of the most magical moments of this entire celebration. The joy on their faces is heart melting! To give the tents some snowy flair, we stitched lengths of White Vinyl Twist onto the front openings. A Santa, Stop Here! Printable Sign, soft, velvet blankets, cushy pillows and a fluffy Brown Christmas Stuffed Bear make the tents welcoming and inviting, creating an adorable space for the kids to feel safe and special. Christmas Tree Honeycomb Centerpieces and Snowflakes Tissue Paper Hanging Decorations arranged around and above the tents serve as the perfect wintry, finishing touch.

Once the kiddos have cozied up in their Christmas PJs, it’s time for the fun to begin! We kicked off the festivities with Santa’s Cookie Bean Bag Toss Game. Oh my gosh, the kids loved it! This is an activity that kept them busy for quite some time.

Next on the agenda was a classic Christmas time activity…cookie decorating! We made it easy on ourselves by skipping the baking and using pre-baked cookies from the Crayola® Colorful Snowmen Cookie Kit. Icing and sprinkles are included in the kit, but we did provide extra to make sure there was plenty to go around. These kiddos love their icing! Decorated cookies were served on super cute Snowman Party Paper Dessert Plates, and we had plenty of Christmas Crew Beverage Napkins on hand for messy fingers.

After the cookie decorating, we let the kiddos get their wiggles out with a Christmas song dance party, then it was time to settle down and get them nestled into bed. We borrowed the words from “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to create this “The Children Were Nestled, All Snug in Their Beds” Poster. We strung together balls from the Craft Wool Felt Pom-Pom Assortment and Jumbo Goldtone Jingle Bells to create a festive garland, then used it to frame the poster.

Of course, bedtime is usually the least favorite part of a sleepover, but we did our best not to let it be! For bedtime, we created a station where the kiddos could go collect special things to make the alone time in their tents more fun. We sat out Christmas Character Treat Boxes with Handles, complete with Santa Sleepover Supplies Tags, and let the kids fill them with things like Santa Hat Lotsa Pops Popping Toys and Christmas Flashlights on a Rope.
The kiddos were able to take all of the goodies back to their tents, cozy up with their blankets and bears, and have some quiet time in their own special spaces. Just look at those smiles…they loved it!
When morning rolled around, we were ready! We had a festive breakfast set up for the kiddos to enjoy, and of course, the table decor was Santa-themed. How cute are those Santa Hat Honeycomb Centerpieces?!!
The place settings at our table were anchored by the cutest Whimsical Christmas Paper Dinner Plates featuring Santa himself! The kiddos could choose between hot cocoa (served in DIY Travel Mugs with Ho, Ho, Ho Labels) or juice/milk (served in Christmas Bulb Cups with Straws and Jingle Juice Tags), or have both. Marshmallows were tucked inside Candy Cane-Shaped Favor Containers to go along with the hot cocoa. Metallic Stripe Beverage Napkins and Black Fork & Spoon Plastic Cutlery Sets.

A magical time was had by all, and it created so many amazing memories that this just may become an annual tradition for our family. I hope that these ideas have inspired you to create some magical memories with your family, too!
