This year I traded bunnies and eggs for a more faith-based Easter tablescape that focuses on the true meaning of the holiday. This "He Is Risen" Easter tablescape puts faith first, without losing any Easter styling elegance. The table came together beautifully with Oriental Trading's gold Happy Easter party supplies and the cutest little ceramic churches you ever did see. I finished the room with a simple white balloon arch decorated with faux eucalyptus stems. Here's how you can style this set-up yourself!
I was born and raised in a Christian household, so Easter has always been a very significant holiday for me and my family. I love all the fun traditions that go along with Easter - egg hunts, egg decorating, Easter baskets, and bunnies. But the holiday means a lot more to me than pastel eggs! At my house we try our hardest to keep the meaning of Easter front and center! For this reason, I created a "He Is Risen" Easter tablescape that does just that; focuses on the true meaning of the season.
I love how classic and elegant this Easter table turned out. I wanted it to be a faith-focused tablescape, but it ended up even more beautiful than I had planned!
The Centerpieces
I started by using a gold shimmer burlap table runner and taped a He Is Risen canvas banner to the end. A few pieces of regular tape held the banner in just the right place. Note: I actually used two gold shimmer runners for the length of my dining table.
I added one tall gold rimmed vase and two short gold rimmed vases to the table and filled them with white tulips. In my opinion, you can't beat tulips on an Easter table! The boxwood garland looked great weaved through the vases along the table. I love how pretty and full the boxwood garland looks and feels, it's definitely a favorite item of mine!
The Place Settings
For the place settings, I used these beautiful, gold-detailed Happy Easter dinner plates, dessert plates, and cups.
The Easter dinner plates looked stunning on gold chargers with gold flatware. I was really impressed with the quality of this gold Easter line. A simple sprig from a faux eucalyptus bunch finished off the place settings.
I added patterned plastic wine glasses to the table and let me tell you, these might be plastic but they look like a million bucks! These are the perfect glasses to add to a table to elevate the look of it - they look just like cut crystal. Similarly, if you are hosting a large group, these glasses come by the dozen and are an affordable way to serve a crowd.
At each place setting sat a darling mini ceramic church. These little churches are precious, and I painted a simple gold cross on the front of each with a gold paint pen. They are so sweet and fit perfectly with my faith-based table.
I was thrilled to find a "He Is Risen" and "Alleluia" religious pillow two-pack that softened up the table. I placed the pillows on two of the dining chairs. They could also be moved to the living room after Easter dinner.
As usual, I wanted to add something a little extra to give this Easter table a wow-factor. I put together a simple balloon garland with different sizes of white balloons and added in sprigs of faux eucalyptus. It worked perfectly with the table and brought the whole look together.
I'm so happy with how this gold, white and green Easter tablescape came together. I encourage you to put together your own faith-based "He Is Risen" tablescape using these simple DIY ideas!
Happy Easter!
