Take your Halloween celebration to the next level with this Haunted Mermaid Party! If you're looking for a unique party theme this year, this spooky mermaid party definitely fits the bill. From a skull centerpiece that looks like it was pulled from the deep blue sea to mini mermaid skeleton favor boxes you'll have everything you need to put this party together. Bring what lies beneath the ocean to the surface for a terrifyingly good time.
The star of the show is this lovely mermaid skeleton that I spray painted gold and propped up against the party table. I kept the party simple by tossing a few pillows around the table instead of using chairs. A gold sequin backdrop was used as a tablecloth and black fish nets were then draped over the tablecloth for a distinct under the sea touch.
Silver three arm candelabras draped in golden beads give nod to a long-lost pirate's treasure. As the sun slowly sets, light the candles to cast an eerie glow on the table.
Black metallic hexagonal dinner plates were placed on top of beautiful gold chargers . Gold cutlery matched the table setting perfectly and were set on top of the black plates. Scatter a few sea shells and pirate coins around the setting for even more character. Navy ombre hurricane vases were filled with gold beads and florals that could pass for Ursula's tentacles.
Guests will love these eerie take home favors that feature mini mermaid skeletons. They're easy to make and you can fill them with all sorts of mysterious treasures from the deep. Or you can just add some yummy Halloween candy inside the boxes and I'm sure your guests will love that just as much! Find the full tutorial on how to make your own Mermaid Favor Boxes HERE.
Mermaid crowns with a creepy twist are the perfect favor for your guests. They can wear them during the party or you can attach your guests' names to the crowns to serve as a place card. These spooky crowns can be made using tiaras, sea shells and ocean water pearl beads. Check out the full tutorial on how to make your own spooky Mermaid Crown HERE.
The crowns also look pretty amazing on our favorite mermaid skeleton! We decided to name her Pearl for this party and I think it suits her perfectly.
Skulls that look like they have been pulled from the bottom of the sea make the perfect centerpiece for our chilling soiree. With star fish, ocean beads and moss, you can create this centerpiece to adorn your table. Check out the full tutorial on how to make these eerie Skull Centerpieces HERE.
I hope you have enjoyed this frightening soiree filled with creatures from the high seas and treasure from a pirate's chest. Make this Halloween one to remember with a haunted mermaid theme for all your guests to enjoy!
