Haunted Mansion Halloween Bar Cart Idea

Haunted Mansion Halloween Bar Cart Idea

Are you hosting a Halloween get together at your haunted mansion? Set the scene for the dark souls that cross your threshold with this glamorous bar cart. Complete with dramatic florals, eyes that watch your every move and ravens that hint of evil omens.  Spirits serve the spirits; a ghostly butler can be hailed at the push of a button. Beware of poisonous elixirs and don’t let the clock strike midnight, lest your dark souls never depart!

Start with any bar cart; I used a 2-tier bar cart in ghostly Lucite and gold.  Let’s transform it with a black, deep blood red and chartreuse palette reminiscent of an elegant, haunted mansion.

Walls That Watch Every Move

First, I used black paper birds to cover the wall above.  Making them fly in and out of an Eyeball Wreath.  As if diving to peck on the eyeballs themselves.

I added additional burgundy red florals to the eyeball wreath to tie in with my color palette.  When the wreath is activated, it glows green.

Spirits Served By Spirits

Next to the bar cart on the wall I gave my “Press for Champagne” button a Halloween makeover, do you dare?

Pressing that button will let our Ghostly Butler know its time for him to serve your guests! He is sound activated and has about 8 different sayings, each equally as spooky! Be careful he doesn’t serve you to the guests.

While his mouth moves the tray is stable, so have a little fun with what he serves.  My butler served a cocktail and an appetizer to die for, muahhahaha! A Skeleton Hand Plastic Cup with a Black Rock Candy Lollipop stirrer and an Eyeball Orb on a small treat stand.

Next to the butler, easy access to his dungeon Hanging Keys, lest any guest misbehave!

At his feet, a large black pumpkin with a spider crawling over it and a Snake Eye Orb.

If Books Could Talk

On the other side of the bar cart to balance out the whole vignette I added Vintage Throw Pillows at the bottom of the cart.

Then I added a stack of books straight out of the haunted mansion’s library.  The Light-Up Moving Books are my favorite, they creak and moan and move themselves.

Next to the books I added candlesticks, a Mercury Glass Votive Holder, pumpkin, spiders and a large Snake Eye Orb.

Botanical Beauties

On the top level of the bar cart, I placed the spookiest of botanical beauties.  A tall vase filled with black & bloody florals.

Nestled amongst the petals I placed a black skull and a DIY Unfinished Wood Skeleton Hand Pick painted a dramatic red.

Killing Me Softly

Drinks aka Poison is served! At the center of the top level I place a vintage gold & mirrored tray serving champagne in Skeleton Hand Plastic Cups with Black Rock Candy Lollipop stirrers. Vintage Halloween Dinner Napkins provided for poison spills.

Sitting over the cocktails, atop a black pumpkin, the most elegant Feathered Black Vulture.  He is my favorite part of this aesthetic.  Such rich colors and all the “waiting on death” vibes.  His Snake Eye Orb pickings lay close beside him.

The Clock Chimes Inexplicably

Telling time or foretelling horror yet untold? On the bottom level of the bar cart the centerpiece is a fabulous Animated Haunted Raven Clock.  The clock hands spin and the raven spooks just perfectly.  I elevated it on a fortune tellers’ book.

Here I also placed a Beverage Dispenser filled with a deep red venomous cocktail on top of a Halloween Drink Dispenser Stand.  I used my own glass skeleton cups to serve this deliciously deadly drink!

Finally, on the other side of the bottom level I placed a glass bowl filled with snake eye orbsTwo Feathered Crows sit fighting over these juicy eye ball spoils.
