Enter if you dare this haunted forest you're sure to see a world full of mythical Halloween creatures and legends of the dark. This Halloween entertain guest under the stars at an enchanted dinner party in the woods with a distinctly gothic and glamorous vibe.
When it comes to celebrating Halloween I am always looking for fun and creative ways to entertain during one of my favorite times of the year. This year I thought it would be fun to take the party outdoors and give guests an enchanted evening under the stars.
This Haunted Forest Halloween party is set in the woods of a local nature preserve, but guests won't find the typical creatures lurking about. Instead, they are likely to encounter lots of enchanted creatures like a unicorn skeleton, skele-fairies, talking trees, dragons, and spooky skeletons.
Deep rich colors lend themselves well to the natural surrounding and the gothic glam Halloween decorations give the party a magical feel that will delight and enchant guests on this special evening.

To create the perfect spot to dine I covered the table with a white tablecloth and layered it with wine draping fabric. I love how the overflowing tablecloth adds a touch of elegance to the simple table setting in the woods. Next, I layered the moss table runner to bring the natural elements of our surroundings to the table.

Now it's time to set the table, and this year I'm obsessed with these gothic Halloween dessert plates. They love how they feel spooky yet sophisticated and look fabulous layered with the black metallic hexagon plates. To complete this gorgeous place setting I used the premium metallic gold cutlery and gothic Halloween dinner napkins.

I created a spooky, yet simple focal point on the table by making a DIY Haunted Candlestick Centerpiece. When hosting a dinner party I like to have a centerpiece that can provide ambient light and the flickering candles in this centerpiece are perfect, especially as the sun sets on this outdoor party.

Speaking of ambient lighting, I also scattered a bunch of DIY Haunted Lanterns throughout the space to help give off a subtle spooky glow. See how to make your own by following the DIY Haunted Lantern tutorial here!

I really wanted this space in the woods to feel magical so I made sure to include lots of enchanted skeletons. The elusive unicorn skeleton can be seen lurking in the background, while skele-faries made from a skeleton garland dance among the trees.

This forest may be haunted, but the medieval winged wonder is ready to protect the dinner party and its guests. With fangs the size of fingers, this dragon skeleton is ready to bring the scares this season.

One of my favorite, unexpected decorations was the animated talking tree Halloween decoration. This spooky decoration blends in perfectly with all the forest trees and surprises guests as it starts barking and glowing as guests walk by. If you want to evoke an instant haunted forest vibe at your Halloween party, all you have to do is hang this talkative trunk from the trees.

Guests are sure to get double the spooky fun when they sit next to the two-headed skeleton. These creepy characters blended in with their DIY Haunted Masquerade Masks. I have quite the collection of Halloween skeletons, but this one might just be my favorite! It's unexpected, spooky and double the fun!

Don't let the two-headed skeleton have all the fun, be sure your guests grab their own haunted masquerade mask to pose for a photo and capture all the moments and memories at this party. See how to make these DIY Masquerade Masks here.

I love creating and planning unexpected ways to celebrate one of my favorite holidays and this Haunted Forest Halloween party does just that. This Halloween take the party outside and create your own magical and enchanted celebration with easy projects like the DIY Haunted Lanterns, DIY Haunted Candlestick Centerpiece, and Haunted Masquerade Masks. Don't forget to add a few magical skeleton creatures and good friends for a spooktacular celebration!
