Book enthusiasts everywhere know that the wizarding world of Harry Potter is full of wondrously whimsical details, a touch of courageous charm and poetic beauty in and of itself. Bookish brides will love this romantic and endearing bridal shower interpretation of this ever popular book series. With inspiration drawn from the books and characters themselves, feminine floral elements, chic hints of gold and of course an ode to everyone's favorite bewitching drink, butter beer, this Harry Potter themed bridal shower will knock you of your brooms!
THE TABLE:
The table was dressed in a gold shimmer table linen and was topped with a custom-made book page table runner for a romantic look.
Pops of ivory, sage green and pink truly gave the table a timeless and beautiful look.
The book page table runner was a beautiful and simple way to incorporate the book theme.
The Place Settings:
Each place setting consisted of a gold charger plate topped with a white ribbed dinner and dessert plate. A Hermoine inspired wizarding wand sat above each place setting and looked beautiful resting upon the book page table runner.
A golden snitch made of chocolates and gold glitter contact paper wings sat upon each place setting and were paired with soft pink florals and sage colored greenery.
To the left of each place setting sat a potions inspired craft bottle adorned with a vintage style key.
On the opposing side of each place setting sat stunning gold utensils accompanied by more fresh florals and another golden snitch.
A glass of our Butter Beer Cocktail Recipe was displayed in a patterned wine glass and it accompanied each place setting for guests. It coordinated perfectly with the color palette and theme of our table. You can get the recipe for this adults only version of butter beer here.
The Centerpiece:
Our favorite detail in this ornate centerpiece is of course the DIY Quidditch Centerpieces which sat at each end of the table.
We glammed up these quidditch inspired centerpiece with touches of gold, pink faux flowers, a custom quidditch goal post made from a badmitton set, greenery, detailed signage, book pages and more!
We created custom signage for each centerpiece playing off of some classic Harry Potter verbiage.
We loved the chic feel of these centerpieces that paid tribute to the book series while adding a touch of sophistication perfect for a bridal shower.

The Sweets:
Our bridal shower cake sat in the center of our table. This ivory colored cake was accentuated with soft pink and ivory roses and sage toned greenery.
An "Always" cake topper added the perfect finishing touch to this sweet and elegant bridal shower cake.
One of our favorite parts of this cake display was our spell book cake stand, complete with fresh florals, gorgeous greenery and even a golden snitch.
The Backdrop:
Another favorite detail of ours, this stunning DIY Book Backdrop, was the perfect addition to this literary themed shower.
Vintage books lined our wall and were punctuated by greenery and moss highlights as well as fresh and faux florals.
Harry Potter's iconic glasses punctuated the backdrop as a subtle homage to the character.
This backdrop also displayed many subtle tributes to the series including flying keys, owl charms, broomsticks and more.
We loved incorporating fresh and faux florals on the backdrop for a sweet and romantic feel.
The runner for this table included wax sealed envelopes and added a romantic but thematic detail to the table.
We created wax dripped candles to mimic "floating candles" and displayed them in front of our backdrop. This not only added a soft and romantic look but reminded us of the classic imagery from the series.
Rose wine bottles rested in front of our backdrop and were accentuated by melted ivory tapered candles.
