Add a dash of intrigue to your Halloween with a fortune telling Halloween dinner party just for the adults. It's a feast for the senses, including your mystical sixth sense! This unique dinner party is full of mystery, omens and spooky superstition. With a mix of dread and fun, let the two-headed fortune teller read your fate in a magical crystal ball. Call up the spirits or peer into the future with a psychic tarot reading. What will be revealed this Halloween, a tale of misfortune or serendipity?
Throughout the Victorian age, parties that featured a seance and fortune telling were all the rage. Summon your guests to join you at the table of misfortune....save a few seats for skeletal friends to greet guests as they arrive.
Have a little fun with Life Size Posable Skeletons. Add a tarot card into a skeleton's mouth or have them hold one in their hands.
Or add one inside a skeleton's throat to represent a frightfully fateful Halloween meal.
The Fateful Feast
Set the table with fiendish flair. Start with a Black Lace Spiderweb Table Runner. Add an abundance of flickering candlelight down the table. Spray paint Taper Candle Holders and Silvertone Taper Candle Holders gold and add black taper candles.
In the center of the table add a ghoulishly glam Black Vase With Roses & Spiders.
Between the candles add Hinged Glass Coffins full of glittered skulls that glint under the candlelight.
Paranormal Place Settings
Serve up drinks in Skeleton Hand Plastic Cups and Black Patterned Plastic Wine Glasses. To make your table feel full, layer each place setting. Start with a Gothic glam gold charger, followed by a Black Round Paper Dinner Plate and Mini Vintage Ceramic Plate.
Alternate the Mini Vintage Ceramic Plates across the place settings. Under each plate add the "third-eye" of the fortune-teller; a Vintage Halloween Beverage Napkin.
Create a macabre Happy Halloween greeting for each plate by painting a Ceramic Bone black and using a Chalk Marker to write your message. You could also use stickers or vinyl to spell out your spooky message.
Guide each guest through the spirit world to take their seat at the table. Guests will love these personalized place cards based on the ancient art of palmistry. Learn how to make your own DIY Palmistry Place Cards here.
Under the Full Moon
Use a Realistic Full Moon as a backdrop for the mystical Halloween festivities. Add Gold Glitter Stars and hang a couple of Bats to give it an extra spooky quality.
String tarot cards on Halloween Bakers Twine and use this as a garland across the backdrop.
Use a Black Rectangle Polyester Tablecloth on the serving table before adding fun fortune telling props. Use a Creepy Lace Spiderweb Lampshade Topper as an overlay.
Guests will love to test their luck on the Halloween Haunted Fate Spinner Game. Watch out for the black tales of misfortune! Aim for orange!
Add Crystal Balls and gold painted DIY Mini Ceramic Skulls as accents on the table.
Next to the spinner add Eyeball Orbs on black votive holders and in Glass Jars.
In the middle of the table add a DIY Ouija Inspired Serving Tray. Use this to serve up spooky cocktails or devilishly delicious Halloween treats. Find out how to make this terrifying tray here.
Serve up tiny tasty skulls in a Mercury Bowl With Rose Gold Pedestal then sprinkle the table with treat filled Mini Vintage Halloween Canvas Drawstring Treat Bags. These bags double as take-home favors for guests at the end of the night.
On the other side of the table use books spray painted black to create height for a fabulous collection of potion bottles. A mix of black glass bottles and Vintage Mercury Potion Bottles are filled with devils blood and a good dose of superstition.
In front of this add the skulls of past guests. Stack a smaller skull on top of a larger one, leaving room for more (insert wicked laugh!!).
Next to the serving table, extend the serving space with a bar cart. On the lower trays serve up tarot cards, skeletal hands, more skulls and glassware. There is plenty of room to store more snacks & drinking potions.
On the top of the bar cart add to the ambient lighting with a Gold Three-Arm Candelabra and black taper candles. Serve up blood red pinot noir wine and a fortune or two.
Misfortunes Told
