Developing a growth mindset is such a helpful skill for children to learn. Sometimes things in life go smoothly – and sometimes they don't. That's why it's so important to help students develop a stick-to-it attitude. This engaging DIY bulletin board offers students positive reminders plus hands-on ways to bolster their self-esteem. Begin by covering your bulletin board with a Fadeless Brick-patterned Paper Roll, and then place Solid Red Bulletin Board Borders and Corrugated Metal Bulletin Board Borders around the edges.

Next, mount the Inspire You Growth Mindset Posters onto pieces of Kraft Paper Tablecloth Roll or kraft paper poster boards. Round the edges of the kraft paper to create a clipboard-type look. Download, print and cut out the clipboard template.

Trace the template onto silver posterboard and cut out. Secure the clip onto the clipboard. To make the clip look 3D, fold a strip of paper to create a small triangle. Glue the triangle to the kraft paper, and then glue the clip to the top.

To make the big pencils, cut a yellow Pool Noodle to the desired length. Paint one end of the pool noodle with pink paint to create an "eraser." Once the paint is dry, place a few strips of metallic silver duct tape around the pool noodle, directly under the painted area. To make the sharpened end of the pencil, use a Kraft Paper Roll to create a cone of paper. Paint the tip of the cone with black paint. Adhere the cone to the end of the pool noodle and then attach the pencils to the bulletin board.

To make the banner above the bulletin board, paint a DIY Unfinished Wood Airplane in the color of your choice. Once the paint is dry, cut one side of the wings off (since it will be against the wall) and assemble the plane. Tie a length of baker's twine to the edge of the plane and hang the plane on the wall. Cut apart the letters from the 'Take What You Need' Bulletin Board Set and mount them onto Chalkboard Pennant Bulletin Board Cutouts. Hang the finished banner above your bulletin board so it looks like the plane is pulling the banner.
