We can't all move to Miami and live with our besties, but we can celebrate being in love while belting out "Thank You for Being A Friend" with our bride tribe! I was smitten with the Golden Girls characters growing up - Blanche's confidence; Dorothy's wit; Rose's youthful spirit; and Sophia's spunky attitude. The girls went through so much together and no matter what, were there for each other through thick and thin - talk about #SquadGoals! What better theme to base a bachelorette party around than that? We set the tone by recreating Blanche Devereaux's iconic bedroom and infused our space with blush pink tones and tropical leaves all around. A few boho touches here and there instantly modernized the theme ensuring it was more chic in style than overly 80s tacky.
Hosting an intimate, at-home bachelorette party doesn't have to lack style and personality, nor does it have to be difficult or fussy. A cozy and chic tropical theme will surely have everyone feeling as though they were instantly transported to the Golden Girls' iconic Miami bachelorette pad.
The focal point of the party was a paneled wall of various tropical leaves set against a blush pink backdrop, which instantly set off a vibe reminiscent of Blanche Devereaux's bedroom.
Metallic Gold Palm Leaves, Artificial Tropical Leaves, Large Artificial Monstera Leaves, Metallic Gold Tropical Leaves, Medium Polyester Palm Leaves and fronds from both a Faux Palm with Gold Accents Garland and Faux Tropical Palm Garland were attached to a DIY Photo Booth Backdrop Board to achieve the look. A Gold Metal Geometric Stand, topped with a woven rattan tray, stood next to a rattan chair to serve as a stylish side table. A basket filled with an artificial green fern filled the space below.
We created the cheeky "Stay Golden" sign by attaching a golden palm leaf to the back of a Clear Acrylic Sign and applying the wording cut from pink adhesive vinyl to the front. You can find the cut file here. A Pink Bulb Shape Vase, filled with dried and artificial palm leaves, sat to the side.
An arrangement of various dried flowers and Pampas Grass were placed inside a Glass Vase with Macrame Trim, which contributed to the boho feel of the party. White sand in the bottom of the vase helped keep the florals stationary.
White Ceramic Vases, which held dried pink palms and filler, bunny tails and blooms from a faux floral bouquet, were beautiful additions dotted around the room.
The Tablescape
A low table, with pillows placed around to lean upon, provided a cozy ambiance for chatting. Placing a long macrama runner we had on hand in the center of the table gave our decor pieces a captivating place to rest. A beautiful Crocheted Table Runner could be used for a similar look.
A simple, yet on-trend, candle filled Rattan Natural Lantern with Handle was placed in the center of the table and gave the eyes a place to rest.
Pink Glass Bud Vases, White Ceramic Vases and Pink Bulb Shape Vases flanked either side of the lantern.
The eye-catching Pink Glass Bud Vases, filled with Pampas Grass, dried blush filler and a palm leaf, stood tall at the outer ends of the centerpiece.
Pink Glass Bud Vases were tucked in between the larger vases for the perfect splash of color.
The Place Settings
The tropical motif was carried over from our backdrop to our place settings in the form of Carnival Fiesta Round Paper Dinner Plates that were placed atop Blush Solid Scalloped Paper Dinner Plates.
Gold hammered forks sat upon Carnival Fiesta Beverage Napkins to the left of each place setting.
Blush Polka Dot Dinner Napkins in the center of each plate were the perfect resting place for our gold leaf place cards.
Pink Patterned Plastic Wine Glasses, placed beside Premium Gold Trim Plastic Cups, infused a bit of glamour to the table.
Sweets & Sips
You can't have a Golden Girls themed party without serving cheesecake! Throughout the course of the show the girls worked out their problems over more than a 100 of the confectionery delights!
Our DIY Cheesecake Dessert Bar was stocked with all the toppings to delight everyone's taste buds! Small White Angle Bowls and Mini Clear Appetizer Bowls were filled to the brim with goodies. Clear Condiment Bottles held yummy sauces for guests to drizzle to their heart's desire. Free printable toppings labels were printed onto white cardstock and dressed up each of the ingredients.

As a subtle nod to my fave character, Rose Nylund, guests sipped on Yes Way, Rose bubbly.
Gold Foil Striped Paper Straws looked chic sitting in a Small Blush Glass Vase and were the perfect trimming to fruity libations that were served.

Their hearts are true, they're pals and confidants, so thanking your gals with a thoughtful gift is a must!
Simple, yet chic and trendy DIY golden tropical earrings were crafted with love using DIY Unfinished Wood Large Circle Charms and snippets of fern. They were then placed inside Clear Square Favor Containers and arranged with a Clear Acrylic Sign bearing the first line from the Golden Girls' catchy theme song, which was cut from pink adhesive vinyl. As the night continued and the snacking had subsided, the dessert table was pushed to the side for guests to pose in front of the DIY Palm Leaf Backdrop and take selfies that will no doubt, create golden memories to last a lifetime.
