There is definitely some 24 carrot magic in the air this Easter! Rather than a traditional Easter tablescape, this year I decided to go with a modern holiday brunch inspired by one of my favorite singers, Bruno Mars. It was a lot of fun taking his catchy song, 24K Magic, and creating a gold themed tablescape perfect for Easter. I've paired gold foils with carrot orange and green for a fresh, modern palette. This easy to recreate look incorporates inexpensive easter baskets overflowing with carrots and lots of party ready bunnies that will have you dancing through brunch!
The Table
I started with a gingham table runner in light pink.
In the middle of the table I placed a White Candle Holder on a bed of Gold Metallic Shred. This gives the centerpiece some additional height.
I filled a gold painted round easter basket with more foil, the Carrot Bowling Set and Carrot Plastic Easter Eggs to complete my centerpiece.
At each side of the centerpiece I added more of the Carrot Plastic Easter Eggs, which I'd spray painted gold, to fit the theme. These can be filled with candies or other treats for a magical take-home gift.
Rather than flowers at each end of the table, I used fresh carrots in Large Cylinder Glass Vases. I love how they look with the stalks still on!
The Place Settings
Each setting had a color palette of fresh white and gold with small touches of orange and green. The layered look starts with a Premium White with Gold Scallop Plastic Dinner Plate. I then added a lightly green striped hexagon plate followed by a Gold Foil Paper Dessert Plate.
A simple knot-tied White Polyester Linen Napkin sat on top of the setting and Premium Metallic Gold Cutlery were laid at each side. I used a Champagne Flute with Goldtone Stem and Gold Foil Paper Cups as glassware.
Of course a carrot themed brunch needs carrot juice! These small bottles of "wellness tonic" from my local market were perfect for bunny mimosas.
For a pop of color and as an after dinner sweet treat I added an edible gold dipped Orange Rock Candy Lollipop to each setting. To create the carrot stalk paint the lollipop stick with light green paint. Then cut a fringe into a strip of green card stock, fan it out and tape to the stick.
A fun theme needs a fun place card. These DIY Bunny Place Cards are ready to welcome each of your guests to the party. Find out how to make these HERE.
A Quick & Easy Backdrop
I kept it light, breezy and modern for the backdrop to my tabletop. A simple arch of Gold Hanging Fans were attached to the wall with Glue Dots.
I then added more Gold Metallic Shred to a table and used a Large Solid Color Easter Basket in green to hold DIY Ceramic Easter Bunnies and their favorite food; carrots.
The basket emphasizes my 24 Carrot Gold theme. I used the letters from a letterboard kit to create this basket decoration. I simply sprayed the letters gold and glued them to the basket handle.
The sweet DIY Ceramic Easter Bunnies are incredibly versatile as Easter decor. I decorated them in the same way I had the bunny place cards. Adding a pom-pom & gold foil tie to one made for a fun Easter suit!
Thank You Baby Bunnies
While the adult bunnies brunched on carrots our baby bunnies had a more casual brunch and play date in another room. As a thank you for being so good while we enjoyed our brunch I added a small table of favors for the kids.
I painted a DIY Unfinished Wood Rustic Chevron Tray white and gold then used it to hold favors. This makes it easy to carry the favors around and offer them to the kids.
These sweet DIY Ceramic Bunny Banks are a great favor. I painted them plain white leaving it open for the kids to paint them with their favorite colors and designs later. Each bunny sat in a gold painted basket and was stuffed with Gold Coins Chocolate Candy. Bunnies love carrots, so I added a candy lollipop "carrot" for each bunny to snack on too.
Have a simply spectacular Easter brunch!
