Punk rock fashion & culture has always been expressive and rebellious - defined by loud music, elaborate outfits of plaids, T-shirts, and leather as well as spiked, dyed hair. They were also known for embellishing outfits with pins, metal studs, and spikes; while everyday objects like safety pins and chains held it all together.
This Glam Punk Rock Bachelorette takes inspiration from the culture & punk rock bands like The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, & Blondie, the iconic queen of punk rock. You can easily recreate this look for the band loving bride with a few simple & inexpensive supplies and my DIY Ideas.

Right, let's get this party started - "God Save the Bride!"
For this glam punk rock bachelorette, I wanted a dive bar look and feel as a contrast to the glam. I started by using a removable brick wallpaper on the walls. I then layered my DIY Graffiti & Stencil Art Backdrop on top of this. Have fun trying this DIY yourself. Layer and spray until you get the look you want.
I then added a modern neon heart and hung both of these up using a chain on removable hooks.
The Bar:
To create the bar I placed the Light-Up Party Fountain & Cups on top of a bar cart. Seriously, every bachelorette needs one of these! I filled this with my "Spiked Tea Punch" adding Nylon Black Chain and Pink Faux Leather Cord to the punch cups for some rocker edge.
I kept it everything else on the top layer simple by adding additional bottles of alcohol, a cocktail shaker, and a framed punch menu. I embellished the frame punk style, spraying with the same technique I used in my DIY Graffiti & Stencil Art Backdrop, then adding an assortment of Silvertone Large Link Chain Necklaces, Picked Personalized Guitar Picks, Custom Photo Buttons, Artist Safety Pins, Crown Charms, Jumbo Adhesive Studs and Pearls.
On the bottom layer of the cart, I put the water and mixers as well as a selection of fruit garnishes including lemons and limes in the heavy crystal-cut look Round Serving Bowl, embellished with Silver Adhesive Studded Jewels and a blood orange studded with cloves.
Lastly, I threw a Union Jack Flag and Bulldog cookie jar I had at home into the mix for an authentic British Punk feel.
The Bar Table:
I used a high boy bar table next to the bar cart so the guests could place their cups or Black Wedding Flutes on it while dancing.
I wrapped color coordinated Metallic Leather Cord for Small Charms, Crown Charms and Colorful Beaded Necklaces around each flute for keeping track of glasses.
A Hot Pink Striped Paper Straw with a guitar pick pinned to it adds to the rocker vibe.
On top of the high boy I used a plain black linen on top with some punk-themed fabric I found on Spoonflower as an overlay. To "Punk" it up I used more silvertone chain and hung it off the fabric with chunky Three-Charm Loop Pins.
This was also the perfect spot to add flowers and sweet treats including a cake and some cupcakes decorated in plaid with the "Sid PICKED Nancy" Picked Personalized Guitar Picks as cupcake toppers.
Here I added another frame with a fun "God Save The Bride" printable from Elena of World Wide Party that is available to download.
The Outfit:
Every bachelorette needs a "Future Mrs." sash, but take it up a notch by trying out my DIY Punk Themed Bridal Sash embellishments. A fun mohawk inspired up-do and bold make-up and your bride will be ready to rock!
The Dinner Table:
If you plan on sit-down eating, you don't have to lose the bar vibe. Go glam punk with sequins & pearls against black and use popping pinks instead of traditional reds.
I used a Black Sequin Table Runner on a black table, breaking it up with a piece of Punk inspired fabric. I then ran the Clear Crystal Garland in 3 strands down the middle of the table.
I added Black Terrarium Candle Holders with Black Acrylic Ice and rich pink florals.
In the center of the table on top of a candlestick, wrapped with Pearls I placed a DIY Ceramic Skull.
I had fun using the spray technique from my backdrop banner on the skull and for a truly punk look, I added a mohawk.
I used two strips of Silver Adhesive Studded Jewels down the center of his skull and in between I glued 2 sets of Picked Personalized Guitar Picks sprayed vibrant pink.
The Place Setting:
This place setting further accentuates the modern punk color palette with an edgy cut crystal look. I started by using a layered combination of the Premium Round Plastic Serving Trays With Diamond Cut Edging as a charger, followed by Light Pink Plastic Dinner Plates and then Hot Pink Dessert Plates.
I then place a Black Polyester Linen Napkin tied in a knot with a strip of punk fabric around it secured by a Three-Charm Loop Pins and mini punk pins.
I added a Black Wedding Flute with a DIY color coordinated drink tag, a Clear Patterned Plastic Wine Glass, and Premium Metallic Silver Cutlery to complete the look. Add mini disco balls to the table for extra party glam. The balls on the Disco Ball Necklaces are a perfect size and easily removed from the chains.
The Favors:
Once the party is over, send your guests home with the perfect memory, a Personalized Party Starter Flask Key Chain. Embellish it with a Gold Charm Pin, Gold Crown and thank you tag from World Wide Party you can download here.
Then, you are ready for the next step, as Billy Idol would say, "It's a nice day for a white wedding"!
