My daughter and son both LOVE dinosaurs, but when you see dinosaur parties they're mostly geared to boys. That's why I decided to design a dinosaur party for girls! After all, dinosaur parties aren't just for boys, right? Check out this dinosaur party for girls, decorated with brightly colored dinosaurs mixed in with tie-dyed and bright floral decorations. And the Girly Dinosaur Favor Table is a must-see. Let's hear it for the girls! ROAR!
Girly Dinosaur Favor Table
Create a wow-factor display table like this Girly Dino Favor Table! You'll hear "oohs & ahhs" from your guests when they walk in and see this stunning display table. Creating the backdrop is as easy as 1-2-3! Step 1: Cut the strings off the foam dinosaur masks. Step 2: Fluff each layer of three tissue hibiscus flowers. Step 3: Tape the flowers and dinosaur masks to the wall behind your table. How fabulous does this 3-Step Girly Dino Backdrop look!
The bright, vibrant colors in the tissue flowers and dinosaur masks were the inspiration for this party's color palette and matched the cute dinosaur favors too!
Girly Dinosaur Favor Table Centerpiece
Finish decorating the table by making the word DINO with light-up marquee letters. Paint the inserts that go inside the letters in colors to match your party.
Place two foam palm trees on either side to create a cute tropical centerpiece. These foam palm trees are sturdy and great quality! I'll be saving these to use in other tropical summer party themes.
Girly Dinosaur Party Favors
My daughter loves to dress up at her parties. Instead of the usual toy party favors, use dress up items like these dragon glasses, hibiscus hair clips, beaded lei bracelets and dinosaur party hats. A tropical girly dinosaur party wouldn't be complete without brightly colored hibiscus flower leis!
These tie-dyed drawstring bags come in blue, green, purple, pink and yellow, so they matched the party perfectly. Have them on hand so guests can fill them with party favors.
Add a sweet treat to your table with a variety of jelly beans in bright colors to match your party. Don't forget the clear candy scoops!
My daughter also LOVES to bake, so she helped me whip up these Girly Dinosaur Tie-Dye Cookies. Check out the recipe so you can serve them at your own party.
Girly Dinosaur Party Dining Table
It's easy to set a tropical girly dinosaur party dining table that matches the colors and theme. Use a foam palm tree surrounded by beach bum metal pails that are filled with colorful plush dinosaurs. So cute!
Create colorful place settings by using the colorful tie-dyed patterned beach bum partyware. Layer a beach bum dessert plate on top of a solid colored blue or lime green square dinner plate and finish with a beach bum napkin topped with hot pink cutlery. Kids love to drink from "fancy" cups, so I used these plastic tropical hurricane glasses to add a touch of fancy fun to the table. They come in a pack of 12 with an assortment of colors that match the party perfectly. Add an orange and white polka dot paper straw and you're all set!
Girly Dinosaur Party Candy Favor Tubes
Place a DIY Girly Dinosaur Party Candy Favor at each place setting for each guest.
You can make these in advance of the party and it just takes a few minutes. First, fill large favor tubes with alternating colors of orange, green, yellow and blue jelly beans. Place the lid on top, then hot glue one of the Little Dino Egg Character Toys to the top of the lid.
Girly Dinosaur Party Chairs
Create a fun girly dinosaur party dining chair by wrapping plush dino tails around the backs of the chairs. They are meant to be worn around your waist, but it's so cool that they can be "worn" by your dining chairs! The great thing is that each of your guests can take the tail home with them after the party. They wrap around and attach with velcro that is already on the tail belts, so there is nothing more you'll need to do to secure them to the chair backs.
Girly Dinosaur Party Activities
Carry the theme of the party into the party games and activities! Have your guests make their own DIY Girly Dinosaur Tie-Dyed Tote Bags! These are super cute and your guests will have fun making them. Check out the step-by-step DIY Tie-Dyed Tote Bags tutorial here.
Once your guests have made their bags, it's time to go on a Dino Egg Scavenger Hunt! Hide plastic dinosaur eggs around your house or in your yard and send your party guests out on a quest to find them all. Have them take their DIY Girly Dinosaur Tote Bags to put the eggs in. Once they're done, crack open the eggs – each one is pre-filled with a cute finger puppet! For variety, you could also mix in some bright colored plastic eggs and fill them yourself with candy.
So that's how you throw a Girly Dinosaur Party. Almost everything you need is listed in the shopping list so you can recreate this party for your little girls. Have fun!
