A Colorful Spring Garden Party

A Colorful Spring Garden Party

Spring is right around the corner and that means flowers, green grass, and warmer temperatures! Celebrate the new season with a floral garden party complete with floral moss table runner, floral cake picks, and giant paper flower decor. It's the perfect way to bring the outdoors in and celebrate the warmer temperatures with friends. Plus it gives you an excuse to buy and craft with all the flowers. And who doesn't want to throw a party with flowers everywhere?!

Spring is the perfect time to celebrate the warmer weather and a garden party is just the ticket. With a few simple DIY projects, you can easily transform any space into a floral garden wonderland. So invite a few friends over, gather up as many flowers as you can get your hands on, and get ready for a colorful party full of all things spring!

Dessert Table

The backdrop of the dessert table is one of the main focal points of this spring garden party. I started by creating a giant paper flower backdrop. Large paper fans and green paper were used to create eye catching giant paper flowers. While they look stunning, these paper flowers come together in just minutes. Not only do they look amazing behind the dessert table, but they do double duty as a photo backdrop for guests to pose in front of! Just two packs of paper fans and one roll of fadeless green paper can create 24 giant flowers. That's enough for the wall behind your dessert table and a photo booth.

I obviously couldn't resist including the gold and white vase full of more flowers! Desserts included rainbow flower spritz cookies and a cake that became the focal point of the tablescape.

The Tablescape

For the tablescape I started with a black and white geometric table cloth I made from fabric. I loved the contrast of the black and white against all the colors. Then I layered on a floral moss table runner. On top of the table runner was a basic white cake stand with the two-tier cake topped with delicate tissue paper flower cake picks. These two simple projects created the main decoration for the table and coordinated perfectly with the fluorescent floral party supplies that were used in the place settings.

For the place settings the fluorescent floral dinner and dessert plates were layered with floral napkins, gold flatware, and paper cups. The layering of all the floral designs paired perfectly with the cake, table runner, and overall garden theme. See how the florals just pop against the black and white geometric pattern?

Balloon Garland

And of course no party is complete without a few balloons! Latex balloons in shades of pink, coral, and orange were tied together into clusters of 4-5 balloons. A cool glue gun was used to adhere the balloon clusters together to create a swooping ballon garland that really got the party vibes going! The garland was attached to the wall using removable adhesive hooks and ribbon.

It's amazing how a few simple projects like giant paper flowers, a floral moss table runner, and tissue paper cake toppers can completely transform a space and make it party-worthy. Now you are ready to throw your own colorful spring garden party. And whether it is indoors or out, your guests will be amazed at all the colorful floral details!
