Leave the boys at home and spend the day sippin', snackin' and craftin' with your best gal pals! I've thrown a Galentine's Day Crafting Party in the past, and it was such a blast I couldn't wait to host another! Serve yummy desserts, pour some wine and let the creativity flow. And for those gals who can't attend, be sure to download our free printable tag and drop off a Galentine's crafting kit for them so they can be with you in spirit - or better yet, virtually!
Our room was warm, inviting and boasted a cheerful exuberance thanks to our ombre pink decorations. Guests couldn't help but feel overjoyed to celebrate a day devoted to friendship the moment they walked in the door!
The Decor
The traditional pink and red color palette popped off the overall bright white of our room. We created a stunning focal point across the back wall with a gorgeous Floral Balloon Garland flowing from our fireplace.
You can find all the details to create your own beautiful statement piece using a Pink Balloon Garland, Silver Chrome Balloons and a mix of pretty blooms here.
Two of our 3 DIY Valentine's Day Signs sat atop the mantle. DIY Slat Signs, Jumbo Bulletin Board Letters, a DIY Unfinished Wood Box Frame and DIY Unfinished Wood Heart-Shaped Beads were painted and glued together to create our easy, yet beautiful art. You can find the details to create your own wooden Valentine's Day signs here.
A Valentine Glitter Hearts Garland was strung from the mantle to break up the white. We couldn't resist adding a few pink yarn tassels we had laying around.
White Ceramic Bottle Vases filled with red roses, blush and white roses and light pink flowers sat on our hearth alongside Red Metallic Heart-Shaped Battery Operated Tea Light Candles. We tucked Valentine Glitter Heart Picks into the vases for a touch of whimsy.
The Tablescape
Heart-shaped Valentine Confetti was sprinkled down the center of our dining table and served as a festive table runner.
Beautiful red, pink and white blooms graced the center of our table inside a Clear Plastic Cylinder Jar we had spray painted white.
Red and hot pink taper candles stood tall in Glass Taper Candle Holders and Silver Candle Holders on either side of our floral centerpiece.
Glass jars filled with Pink Caramel Chocolate Balls and Hershey's® Hugs & Kisses® Chocolate Candy rounded out our tablescape along with Pink Cylinder Vases, Red Metallic Heart-Shaped Battery Operated Tea Light Candles and Mini Disco Ball Ornaments.
The Place Settings
Our ombre color scheme continued on our dining table with the layering of our tableware.
Pink hearts napkins added a bit of pattern and broke up the bright colors when placed between Red Metallic Hexagon Paper Dinner Plates and Pink Metallic Hexagon Dessert Plates. Silvertone Hammered Forks rested to the left of the plates.
DIY Unfinished Wood Trinket Boxes were dressed up with a bit of paint and ribbon and sat in the center of each place setting. Each guest's initial, spelled out with silver foil alphabet stickers, was applied to DIY Unfinished Wood Mini Hearts to every trinket box. We then tucked little gifts into each box. We love how they did double duty as place cards and party favors!
Pink Patterned Plastic Wine Glasses and Red Metallic Paper Cups finished off each place setting.
Sweets & Sips
Our dessert table was tucked into one corner of our room and looked as if it were floating on a cloud of ombre pink balloons. Candy Conversation Heart Balloons and Red Heart Mylar Balloons hung over our table thanks to a few GlueDots®. Our third Simple & Chic DIY Valentine's Day Sign, crafted from a DIY Unfinished Wood Box Sign and Mini Foam Heart Wreath, sat in the lower nook of our table.
We ensured everyone's sweet tooth was satisfied by offering a variety of sweets, including Foil Wrapped Pink Chocolate Hearts.
I personally loved the delicious strawberry cupcakes!
Galentine's Day Crafting Station
Another small table was nestled into the opposite corner of our room to display all of our crafting supplies.
Various craft items, including DIY Unfinished Wood Mini Hearts, DIY Unfinished Wood Hearts with Magnets and Foam Valentine Rose Buds were corralled in a tray ready to embellish White Heart Signs.
We loved seeing how everyone used the items to create their own heart filled masterpieces!
We couldn't forget about our fave gals who couldn't join us for the day, so we filled cellophane bags with craft supplies and placed them into DIY Large White Canvas Tote Bags along with a White Heart Sign for them to decorate at home. If you know beforehand which friends can't attend in person, drop the kits off at their doors prior to the party and they can join the fun virtually!
Download and print our cute (and free!) printable tags onto white cardstock, and tie them to each bag with pink ribbon to remind those who can't attend that they're still close at heart!
