Friendly Fall Woodland Party

Friendly Fall Woodland Party

This friendly fall woodland party is the perfect way to celebrate fall and the chilly weather. Whether you are planning a fall birthday party, fun fall playdate, or looking to create an extraordinary, kid-friendly Thanksgiving table this adorable party will inspired you to get "wild" this fall!

My kids love spending time exploring in the great outdoors so we took the party to a nature preserve where they could have some wild adventures outside, and enjoy a few treats and crafts at this adorable woodland party.

Kids Fall Woodland PartyI set up a small vintage desk to display a few sweet treats and a large container of Morning Dew Punch. I covered the top of the desk with a sheet of moss and layered it with large unfinished wood slices, metal buckets and pumpkins. Since we were outside in the woods, I kept the treats fairly simple. I made Chocolate Peanut Butter Whoopie Pies, pumpkin spice cupcakes and Wild Animal Trail Mix.

Friendly Fall Woodland PartyI set up a small table so the kids could sit and eat their sweet treats after exploring in the woods. I used a roll of kraft paper to cover the table and then layered it with a moss table runner. I wanted to keep things fairly simple so I used a DIY large basswood plank with bark, woodland party centerpiece, pumpkins and moss to create an easy and cute centerpiece.

Friendly Fall Woodland CenterpieceEach place setting was set with pumpkin spice orange square dinner plates. I layered them with turquoise and lime green square dessert plates, I loved this fun color combination. At each place setting the kids found a burlap button bag with napkins, silverware and fun friendly woodland creature. Even though this wasn't a birthday party, I couldn't resist the cute woodland party cone hats!

Fall Woodland Place SettingFriendly Fall Woodland Place SettingI hung the adorable woodland party hanging decorations and lime and orange green tissue hanging fans from the trees behind the tables. This helped add a pop of color to the natural elements.

Woodland PartyI didn't plan too many activities for this party because my kids were more than happy to just roam around and explore in the woods. But, I did make each of them a journal and included a wood pencil with a felt woodland pencil topper so they could go exploring in the woods. With their journals they could make observations, draw pictures and record what they saw while exploring.

Adventure JournalBefore I sent everyone home I gave them tubes filled with gumballs and cute woodland creature headbands.
