Pantone recently named Living Coral as it's shade for 2019. Living Coral is sure to bring a pop of color to your wedding. This pinky hued shade of orange is the perfect color to include in your wedding decor and would even be great for bridesmaids dresses as this color looks good on everyone! Read on below to learn how to include Living Coral in your wedding from centerpieces to placecards and even the food!
To create this Living Coral wedding I chose items from the coral wedding suite which included the square coral dessert plates and coral dinner napkins. White square dinner plates with gold trim and gold cutlery added the perfect pop to the coral dinnerware. For the DIY wedding centerpieces I spray painted ivory and ceramic vases coral and filled with white stock and white dahlias. Filling the center of the table with vases of varying heights and shapes will give your wedding table a dynamic look. When designing a wedding around a specific color you want all of the elements to blend seamlessly. Pantone's Living Coral is a bold orange color with pink undertones. To balance this shade you will want to choose colors that are either equally as bold or have similar undertones. I chose a white tablecloth and white flowers to allow the coral pieces to pop and take the full focus. Other colors that would look harmonious with Living Coral include blue and purple shades.
To add a fresh, spring look to this wedding, I created DIY Citrus Placecards using real clementines. These DIY wedding placecards were placed in scallop trays featuring faux grass and displayed on the dessert table. The dessert table also featured cupcakes wrapped in gold wrappers with diamond toppers, and grapefruit sodas. I especially love the diamond cupcake toppers which are ideal for weddings, bachelorette parties, and bridal showers. I used light pink cardstock to create labels for my escort cards and cupcakes. The light pink is the perfect balance with the coral and white details.
Everyone wants their wedding to be unique and these DIY Citrus Placecards are certainly that! Not only are they cute and colorful but your guests will delight over their uniqueness.
I created DIY placemats for the wedding table featuring faux grass and DIY paper flowers. These placemats are the perfect way to define each place setting and give a fresh, spring look to the table. Whether your wedding is indoors or out, these placemats will add a fun pop of color. Each place setting also received a mini coral favor box wrapped with baker's twine and filled with treats.
This Living Coral wedding inspiration would not be complete without a fun recipe. I created Strawberry Rose Popsicles and served them to guests in clear tumblers. Rose is the perfect drink to serve in the spring and summer months for it's fresh and light taste. These Rose Popsicles blend rose wine with grapefruit soda, and strawberries for a refreshing treat!
