The food truck is the star of the show for this fun gender reveal. To create it, we adhered printables from our Taco Gender Reveal Printable Set to an Ice Cream Truck Cardboard Stand-Up, then attached a Blue Baby Mylar Balloon Banner to the top.
White Yarn Pom-Poms hot glued in between the banner tiles give some dimension to the banner and add a nice touch of visual interest.
Of course the specials of the day should be catered to the theme, so the food truck served up The Beef and BLUE (slow-cooked beef with creamy blue cheese crumbles) and The PINK Pig (flavor-packed pork carnitas with pickled onions). The printable menu from the Taco Gender Reveal Printable Set proudly displays the offerings on the door of the truck. Get the step-by-step tutorials to make your own DIY Taco Truck Backdrop here.
Que-so is it a boy or a girl? Aside from the big reveal itself, it's always fun to see what everyone thinks the baby is going to be! We created a super cute DIY Gender Voting Station out of a Tabletop Tiki Hut and two Large DIY Unfinished Wood Frames with Wire. Boho Pom-Pom LED String Lights softened the look of the hut and added a warm glow to the station, and Tissue Cactus Centerpieces lent a cute nod to the theme as well.
We hot glued Hot Pink and Blue Fringe Streamers inside Printable Taco Shells, folded them up, then placed them inside Fiesta Neon Food Baskets. We then hot glued Mini Clothespins to the back of each taco, so guests could write their guesses on the tacos then hang them on the wire frames to cast their votes! Head on over to see the full DIY Gender Voting Station here.
Instead of one large table for our event, we arranged several seating areas in the party space where guests could eat and visit. The stars of each place setting were the cutest little Food Truck Party Paper Dinner Plates (which were the inspiration for our Free Printable Invitations!). They're just so darn cute! Candy Pink Dinner Napkins, Premium Metallic Plastic Forks and Cactus Plastic Margarita Glasses finished off each setting.
For those that prefer to stand instead of sitting, we set up a grazing table. Mini Food Truck Party Popcorn Boxes with tortilla chips and Guacamole Bowls with salsa were available so guests could snack throughout the evening. We also set out some extra Food Truck Party Paper Dessert Plates and Food Truck Party Luncheon Napkins for anyone that wanted them.
Before the big reveal, guests mingled and munched on the chips, salsa, and the specials of the day.
Once the gender was announced, we celebrated with cupcakes! Printable Cupcake Toppers tied the treats into our theme perfectly!
Before guests went home, we made sure they knew we "churro" glad they came by gifting them with Food Truck Party Treat Bags full of churros. The Printable Favor Tags are available in the Food Truck Gender Reveal Printable Set.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering what the gender of our baby is going to be....
