Pool Party Backdrop

One of the main features of our pool party was the Summer Pool Party Backdrop that was a cinch to put together.

With a cool pool party banner, beach ball paper lanterns, sunglasses, mini beach buckets and summer stickers, this backdrop sure makes a splash! Get the directions for how to create the backdrop here.

Pool Party Treats and Sunglasses Decoration Station

Our main party table doubled as a treat table and a Sunglasses Decoration Station.

Since it's usually hot during the summer, we served refreshing slices of cold watermelon. "Pool floats" (aka donuts) in different flavors were stacked high on multiple cake plates and a tray. Tiny umbrella picks were stuck inside a mini bucket and placed in the middle of the donuts. The bottom layer of our tray held the cutest mini inflatable beach balls.

Our Sunglasses Decoration Station held sunglasses! The sunglasses were displayed on a DIY Wood Plank Sign that I spray painted to match the party.

In front of the sunglasses were mini pails, each filled with a different adhesive craft supply for the kids to decorate their own pair of sunglasses. Get all the details to make your own Sunglasses Decoration Station here!

Did you notice the adorable pool float toys in front of the craft supplies? These guys are pool float party perfection!

These same pool float party toys can be spotted on top of our Pool Float Party Favors that we filled with water beads and a fish squirt toy for party guests to take home.

The table itself is covered with a light blue tablecloth with a pool party beach towel laid across the top. A shimmery foil fringe table skirt with matching pool floats all over it coordinates with many of the other pool party supplies.

Pool Party Dining Table

Each person at the party had their own adorable place setting that consisted of a pool party plate, napkin, cup, umbrella straw, pineapple cup, blue and white striped napkin, and flamingo straw.

Adding all the multiple layers made each place setting more colorful and interesting.

On the back of each chair hung a pool party beach towel that guests could use after swimming and take home with them. A pineapple beach ball or a solid pink beach ball sat on each chair for guests to play with and take as a party favor too.

Pink flamingo coasters were the highlight of the dining table. They sat at the center of the table, and each held a lemon cupcake with a pool party pick and a mini umbrella on top. The store-bought cupcakes fit perfectly inside the blue and white striped cupcake wrappers inside the flamingos.

Pool Floats ad Beach Balls

Is it really a pool party without colorful pool floats and beach balls everywhere? I don't think so!

We made sure there were inflatables galore and had a giant flamingo pool float, a pineapple pool float and a watermelon pool float ready for everyone to lounge on.

Larger beach balls, mini beach balls, pink beach balls, and even pineapple beach balls all floated in the water at the party.

We even used pink flamingo coasters to enjoy cupcakes poolside.

I hope you enjoyed this fun summer pool party! Hopefully I've inspired you to grab a float, jump in the water and enjoy the summer sunshine.
