Flamingo-Themed Bulletin Board

Flamingo-Themed Bulletin Board

This vibrant and fun flamingo bulletin board is bursting with clever ideas! Three teachers created this board while they were at our photo studio in Omaha, Nebraska during a teacher-focused blogger conference. Here are the supplies and tips you'll need to make your own flamingo bulletin board!

Start creating this fun bulletin board by laying down a black and white striped background. You won't guess what our teachers used to create their black and white stripes. Multiple table runners! These Black & White Striped Table Runners work perfectly as a bulletin board background and can also double as table decor when not in use on a board. If you want to use one piece of fabric to cover your board you could use this Black & White Striped Gossamer Roll instead. To create depth and interest on your board, layer borders on top of each other. Here, Scalloped Tangerine Borders are laid on top of Scalloped Hot Pink Borders to add a pop of color to the board. Create little vignettes to show off student work, display classroom rules, etc. If you're creating this board at the beginning of the year your students may not have created work yet to display in the Black Picture Frame Cutouts. To fill up that space, use Paint Chip Circles and Flaming Hanging Decorations. Although these flamingo decorations are usually used to decorate for parties, our teachers realized that by cutting off their clear strings and sticking them to their bulletin board, they instantly became adorable focal points on this fun display. To give this bulletin board even more impact, our teachers extended the bulletin board vertically by adding some Fadeless® Black Paper and scalloped borders to the wall above the original bulletin board. Orange, Coral, and Hot Pink hanging fans were layered on top of each other to create a stunning background. Fancy Black Bulletin Board Letters can spell out any phrase you'd like. Our teachers used Mavalus® Adhesive Tape to make sure the letters and paper fans would stay on their boards all year long. Kristen, Kaci and Emily worked together to create this fabulous flamingo bulletin board. Click on their names to hop over to their own blogs!
