I can’t believe my baby is one! I know every mother feels that sentiment when the year mark comes and wants to make the party a special one for not only the baby, but for family and friends as well. I wanted a fun way to celebrate her birthday that was fitting for both kids and adults. A flamingo themed party fit the bill, so we had a “Flamingle” in Anna’s honor to celebrate our baby bird turning one.
I knew pink flamingo yard ornaments were a must. I used them out front with balloons to let guests know where the party was, but also stuck them in the drink bin, hanging out with the pink lemonade, of course!
I love those pink flamingo mylar balloons! They paired perfectly with the turquoise, pink, and white balloons. The mini flamingos were perfect for everything from centerpieces to the popcorn bowl, along with the cute 1st birthday pink self-inflating balloons.
I used the flamingo string lights on the island, to light things up between bowls on the buffet. The adorable flamingo straws were a hit with kids and adults alike, and the flamingo napkins were the perfect touch.
Can we just talk about the cuteness overload of these flamingo picks? I wanted to stick them in everything! I used them for both sandwiches and cupcakes and almost used them for the fruit too, but stopped myself.
The raspberry cream cake and honey pear cupcakes were made by a local bakery, Cake by Courtney. I used the leftover flowers from the Flamingo Centerpieces to create a bouquet for the island, and added more of the 1st Birthday balloons. It was the perfect party to celebrate our Anna girl! Here's to another year with our favorite round little person. Happy birthday, Anna!
