Fiesta inspired celebrations are a favorite of mine; such gorgeous events filled with color, personality and attention to detail. Create your own stylish fiesta inspired bridal shower that is the perfect balance of modern and playful. The color palette of pink, yellow, coral and teal are bought to life with bright beautiful blooms, colorful glassware and paper decor. Simple DIY projects make this a bridal shower anyone can pull off!
I started with a naturally textured wood tabletop to balance with the bright pops of color. Use a simple and cost effective centerpiece of clear glass bottles filled with single vibrant blooms. Try bottles of different sizes. This centerpiece uses a mix of Clear Vintage Soda Bottles, a Craft Bottle Assortment and vintage bottles I had at home. Dahlias are perfect when you are creating a single bloom centerpiece, they are large and dramatic. I used a mix of golden, orange, magenta and yellow teacup dahlia.
The first time I visited Mexico I fell in love with the vibrant tiles at every corner. Tiles can double as a unique table number and make for a super fun DIY. I used a DIY Ceramic Tile, painted it white and then applied a stencil to achieve the pink painted design. Finally, I used my Cricut to cut out a table number. Alternatively, you can use adhesive stickers to get the look. Sit the tile on a White Mini Wooden Easel Placecard Holder.
I started the layered place setting with a fresh White Scalloped Charger, followed by a Bright Floral Dinner Plate and then a White Elegance Premium Plastic Dessert Plate. This is topped with a Coral Dinner Napkin and a Floral Folding Hand Fan.
At each setting I used elegant Premium Gold Metallic Cutlery and a combination of brightly colored glassware.
A simple wine glass, paired with an elegant champagne flute, a pretty parasol pick and Cactus Tumblers I sprayed bright pink.
Both ribbon and crepe paper are a stylish and modern alternative to papel picado while retaining the vibrant colors combinations and movement of the intricate banners.
I used a combination of coral, teal, yellow and pink ribbon on the seat backs of fresh acrylic chairs.
I then incorporated the same bold yellow, coral, teal and pink color palette into crepe paper streamers as a backdrop for the celebrations. Find out how to create your own bright and bold custom-made hoop backdrop HERE.
Beside the backdrop I set up a small taco bar. The taco bar sign is a simple DIY you can do at home. First, I painted a DIY Unfinished Wood Sign white. Then I cut out the circular paper rosette designs from a set of Fiesta Luminary Bags and used Mod Podge to adhere them to the sign. Finally, I added the words after cutting them out on my Cricut®. If you don't have access to a vinyl cutting machine you could simply paint the letters on yourself or use alphabet stickers.
The table is set with a White Rectangular Polyester Tablecloth and a crepe paper runner. Now let's focus on the tacos! Yum, my favorite. The brightly colored Taco Holders display delicious tacos in all their glory. Condiments are served in Guacamole Bowls.
I also used this table to display a fabulously vibrant pink cake topped with a traditional Mexican paper flower I picked up on holiday there.
No bridal shower is complete without a few fun activities for the party guests. Download the free printables and get the DIY for displaying them HERE.
To style the table I filled a Slanted Medium Round Glass Vase with succulents and a Tall White Ceramic Vase With Gold Trim with more bright blooms.
The final touch for the bar cart were the drinks, or "bebidas."
I created the DIY Wood Plank Sign using the same materials and techniques as the taco bar sign.
I served a twist on the traditional margarita; a blood orange tequila fizz punch served in traditional margarita glasses. Find out how to make this tasty, zesty drink HERE. For sodas and water I provided Floral Print Cups.
I set out small party favor bags on the bar cart for guests to take home.
I made the party favors out of mini yellow treat bags decorated with a Personalized Fiesta Shower Favor Sticker and filled with fun themed candy. Why not take the party home, right?!
