Grandma and Grandpa's favorite gifts are always handmade works of art and photos from grandkids. Make grandparents feel extra special this year with a Christmas tree photo ornament that combines both! To make the ornament, paint an unfinished wood Christmas tree with tempera paint. When the paint has finished drying completely, decorate the Christmas tree with glitter glue and colorful sequins.

Remove the wooden photo circle backing from the ornament and use it to trace a circle around a children's photo with a marker. Cut out the circle photo and place it inside the center of the ornament. Place the wooden circle back in place behind the photo and close the ornament.

Baby's First Christmas Ornament

Always remember baby's first Christmas with this special keepsake ornament. Before making the ornament, gather a few baby keepsakes like baby's first beanie from the hospital, hospital bracelets and baby's first footprint or hand print.

Place the keepsakes inside one half of a large clear ornament. Add a handful of pink or blue baby shower confetti at the bottom. Use a metallic Sharpie marker to write on the front of the second ornament half the baby's name in cursive and the year they were born. Close the two ornament halves together. Add a white hanging ribbon in the circle at the top of the ornament. Then hot glue a blue or pink bow made from ribbon at the top of the ornament.

Paw Print Pet Ornament

Pets love getting Christmas presents too! Kids will love helping make this keepsake paw print ornament to hang on the Christmas tree. To make the ornament, roll out air dry clay and cut out a circle from it a little bigger than your pets paw. Place your pets paw on the circle and imprint it onto the clay. Use a paper straw to cut out a circle at the top of the ornament for hanging.

After the clay ornament is completely hardened (it will take about 24 hours to dry), paint the ornament white and the paw print sections with red or green tempera paint. Let the paint dry completely. Use a metallic Sharpie® marker to write your pets name and the year on the ornament. Cut off a section of baker's twine about 12-inches long. Place it in the hole in the top of the pet ornament and tie a knot and bow at the end to hang the ornament.
