Setter up with success! This volleyball party is an ACE and the perfect way to celebrate your all-star players birthday OR the teamwork, commitment and success of the entire team.
If you are like our family, volleyball is a huge part of your life, which means lots of time running to practices and cheering at games. Hosting a relaxed end-of-season volleyball party is a great way to celebrate the girls' hard work and enjoy some quality time with the team! This party also gives kids, parents, and coaches a chance to relax and really enjoy each other’s company. You can even make some time to play a game of volleyball, parents vs. kids or coaches!
Meet You At The Net
Let’s PLAY!
The Main Court
The neutral color of this volleyball tableware reflects the colors of the volleyball court and makes it very easy to mix team colors into the décor. I used my daughters team colors which are shades of blue and included the team’s name and player numbers in the décor.
I used a white tabletop so the team colors would really pop. In the center of the table, I used a volleyball to create a vase for some faux florals. Placing this inside a blue plant stand I had at home, I always recommend shopping your home before you start the party set-up, you never know what you’ll find. The trim looked like net, so it was the perfect look and color!
To create a table runner I placed Volleyball Folding Hand Fans at each setting and opened them up to make a pretty volleyball design down the middle of the table.
Rather than use a placemat, I printed out volleyball plays and used these under the plates.
For place settings themselves I layered larger blue plates with Volleyball Paper Dinner Plates and tucked a Volleyball Luncheon Napkin under the plates.
On top of the plates I placed a Modern Plastic Cutlery Set and Personalized Thank You Swirl Lollipop wrapped in a Kid’s Metal Whistle.
Then I tucked a blue 1st place ribbon under them for a pop of color and to let the kids know I dig them! Pun intended!
As another fun treat I “served” up Sixlets® Sparkling White Chocolate Candy (that look like mini volleyballs!) in Clear Round Favor Containers. I added stickers I had left over from the Personalized Thank You Swirl Lollipops to the containers to further incorporate their team name & colors.
Next, I added personalized Inflatable 5" DIY Mini Beach Balls to each setting. Each had the players name and number added to it in vinyl as well as the word “Champion” to make it look like a mini volleyball. These doubled as place cards, favor and fun photo props!
Finally, I personalized water bottles with their names & numbers for them to drink out of during the party and on-going at games.
The Locker Room
For the backdrop I used the School Locker Backdrop Banner to set the scene.
Then across the top of the backdrop I added a Volleyball Garland. At each end of the garland I added mini volleyballs I cut out of the Volleyball Beverage Napkins.
On each locker I used vinyl to add each girl’s name and number. Above these I added mini volleyballs I cut out of the Volleyball Beverage Napkins. Then I cut out flames from the Firefighter Party Fire Garland to add flames to each of the volleyballs….Girls on Fire!
On the right side of the lockers, I hung a Personalized Locker Banner I had made for my daughter. These are made from sturdy vinyl, are locker size and can be personalized with name, number, and team colors. They are a great way to celebrate the kids and school spirit.
On the other side of the lockers, I added a Custom Photo Volleyball Poster Wall Cling, I was able to add my daughters team picture and you can even add a full team photo on this cling. It hung well to the wall and was easily removed without any damage.
Under this I hung up my daughters Personalized Volleyball Rally Sign. These are so fun to take to games to cheer on the team!
One of the most fun items I used at this party was the Jumbo Inflatable Volleyball. These made for super fun photos with lots of laughter.
As well as fun games of jumbo volleyball between the girls. They aren’t competitive at all, LOL!
You Just Got Served
In front of the lockers, I placed a table that doubled as both a dessert and awards table. To give this a unique themed look I used a volleyball net as a table cover.
In the center of the table, I placed another blue plant stand cake stand with a volleyball on top.
This volleyball was for the girls to sign as a gift to my daughter but could also be used as an end of year coach’s gift. Just add sharpies for them to use to sign.
On one side of the table, I displayed cupcakes on a Volleyball Cupcake Stand. I used Medium White Gumballs as toppers - these looked just like mini volleyballs right on top!
I used a Short Round Pedestal Jar to hold the remaining gumballs.
Then I used a Glass Jar to hold the remaining Sixlets® Sparkling White Chocolate Candy. Adding a removable blue vinyl volleyball decal to the front of the jar.
On the table I added extra Volleyball Player Paper Dessert Plates and Volleyball Beverage Napkins for adult guests to use for cupcakes.
On the left side of the table, I placed a stand to hold Personalized Silver Trophies, fun team awards for every girl. On top of each trophy, I added DIY Small Foam Balls. I used a black sharpie to add the lines of a volleyball on each of these.
To decorate this side of the table I used a Glass Cylinder Vase to hold more foam balls, added florals and then created a volleyball accent by cutting out a volleyball player from Volleyball Player Paper Dessert Plates.
Hit Like A Girl
One of the wonderful things about volleyball is the empowerment it gives them. They feel strong and work together to win. I used iron-on vinyl to add “You better believe I hit like a girl” to DIY Large White Canvas Tote Bags. They were able to take home their candy, trophies and more in these. Better yet they now use the bags to hold their volleyball gear for after school practice.
I didn’t forget parents and coaches! If you are hosting an end of season party these Love at First Spike Adult’s T-Shirt are perfect gifts!
Now are you ready to serve up an ACE of a party? I hope you've found more than enough inspiration from this Volleyball Party setup!
