Watching Christmas movies is such a fun part of celebrating the holiday season. So why not make a party out of it? Gather your friends and family for an evening of Christmas cheer spent with the one and only "Buddy the elf". This party is a tribute to my all-time favorite Christmas movie, Elf. From the whimsical Elf Movie Centerpiece to the World's Best Cup of Coffee Display, this party will have you singing loud for all to hear! Much like the movie itself, everything about this party is pure Christmas fun! All of the bright, bold colors add to the festivities and I can't even look at the Buddy The Elf Stand-Up without smiling. There are lots of nods to the movie throughout the entire party, like the spaghetti and candy cake and the Plush Snowball Fight Game. Like Buddy's clever Christmas decorating in the movie, I decorated my ceiling with Tissue Snowflakes, a Dimensional Snowflake Garland, a Giant Snowflake Decoration and paper chains. It's safe to say, I became quite an elf myself while creating this celebration!
I started by designing the invitation for this fun party printable pack. This editable PDF printable is available for free as a part of the Elf Movie Party Printable Pack. I then created the "Let's sing loud for all to hear" backdrop printable as well as all of the other designs in the printable pack.
Table Setting
For the main table setting, I used the Elf Buddy Elf Party Tableware Pack. I love this party pack because it has enough complete place settings for up to 20 guest! The plates, cups and napkins are all part of the set and they feature Buddy the elf and fun quotes from the movie. Under each plate I placed a Red Paper Charger. The Red Satin Table Runner worked perfectly when topped with the Snowflake Table Runner to create a more dynamic look. The main focal point of the table was the Elf Movie Centerpiece. The 4 Main Elf Food Groups
We know that Buddy and all of his elf friends enjoy a diet full of sugar to keep them fueled and spreading Christmas cheer. In the movie, Buddy eats spaghetti topped with candy and maple syrup. To further illustrate this, I created a spaghetti cake that I hoped would make all of the elves proud. I used white buttercream frosting to represent spaghetti noodles and then topped the cake with candy, Mini Peppermint Candy Canes and Candy Corn. Since we can't leave out the last food group, I also created a printable bottle label for the maple syrup. Download the bottle label for free here!
World's Best Cup of Coffee Display
When Buddy is in New York City he sees a sign in a coffee shop window that says "World's Best Cup of Coffee" so he goes inside to congratulate all of the employees on their achievement. I think this is such a funny moment in the movie so I wanted to create a coffee display to really call it out. I created printable signs, as well as inserts that fit the DIY Winter Mugs and DIY Travel Mugs. The printables say "World's Best Cup of Coffee" and "World's Best Hot Cocoa, Too!" Let's Take an Elfie!
