Dusty blue and silver is a subtly romantic palette that exudes elegance and will be the perfect fit for your winter wedding celebration. Add in mixes of white-washed greens, hazy blue details and some romantic candlelight to create a wonderfully wintry tablescape to celebrate the special moment you say "I do".
The Table:To set the tone of our wedding tablescape, we found a piece of fabric to use as a wide romantic table runner over top of our White Polyester Tablecloth that would bring in the perfect dusty blue color. The fabulous, silky texture added a lovely touch of sophistication. That plus the Tablecloth would be the perfect color base for our DIY Greenery Garland.
To create this garland, we simply bunched together pieces of Faux Pine Branches, Faux Frosted Greenery, Faux Eucalyptus Stems and Faux Succulent Picks using Soft Flex Wire and then attached them to a piece of Natural Jute that ran the length of the table so the greenery would be secured. We added hints of various colors of spray paint to some of the faux greenery and Succulents to achieve the hazy, blue-green palette we were going for and loved the rustic elegance it added to the table.
Table Decor:We added in a variety of gorgeous silver mercury glass ware to compliment the blues and greens of our table palette. A Silver Candelabra with taper candles served as the centerpiece and was flanked by both Mercury Votive Holders , Silver Mercury Glass Candle Holders and Silver-Flecked Mercury Votive Holders. One of our favorite decor pieces were the Round Silver Textured Candle Holders. They had the look of an elegant antique while still feeling chic and modern.
The Place Settings:
We absolutely fell in love with the Ivory Plastic Dessert Plates with Silver Border and the matching Dessert Plates.
We layered both on a Silver Charger and included Metallic Silver Cutlery, and a Plastic Martini Glass filled with our signature cocktail of the evening; a Fresh Fallen Snow Martini.
This mix of vanilla vodka, white cream de cocoa and white chocolate liqueur is not only delicious, but looks stunning as well.
The Backdrop: We wanted to create a signature backdrop that would be both a focal point and a cohesive part of our tablescape.
We adored the DIY Greenery Garland we created for the table and decided to carry that over into our DIY Backdrop. We painted two hoops from the Obstacle Course Ring Set, and the Mr. & Mrs. Gold Calligraphy Chair Signs and then decorated them with some more of our wintry greenery and hung them above our table. We were thrilled with how simple this backdrop was to make and how fabulous it looked with the rest of our tablescape!
