To get started I gathered a few staple items like some red and mint tissue fans and some fun border trim. I love the layered look when it comes to bulletin boards. I combined the black dots, stripes and dots and circus tents for a fun Dr. Seuss feel. When I layer borders I like to staple them together before placing them on my board.

This helps to keep the widths uniform and keep them from shifting. It also helps to save my border trim, there is less waste and less staples when I add them to my board. This keeps them looking sharp and clean for future use. I love using a simple backdrop for my boards one that I can use for a few different looks without changing the whole board each time. I went with the fadeless cloud paper for this board. I just love the simple feel.

To avoid mismatched borders meeting in the corners I used mint fans to hide where they meet up, I adorned them with some Dr. Seuss hats.

I used a few of the Dr. Seuss cutouts to add to my board, a large cat in the hat fills out one side while whimsical books are scattered along the edges.

To bring some height to my board and to bring color to those barren cement walls I love adding colorful tissue paper fans. Some red and mint tissue fans are just the ticket. These fans are so easy to staple together into small clusters. Once stapled I staple them directly onto my board til the top is covered.
