Doggone Great Year Classroom Celebration

Hooray! You made it to the end of another amazing year! It’s incredible how much little ones grow and learn throughout the year, and celebrating their accomplishments is so much fun! Plan an unforgettable day by throwing a Doggone Great Year Celebration! Children will be engaged in fun learning activities that seem like party games! You could plan this event with or without parent volunteers, so it is sure to meet the needs of your busy classroom!

You can completely decorate your classroom using the Paw Print Bulletin Board Set. The letters, numbers, paw prints, and signs create colorful decor that is simple to set up! Just add a Puppy Paw Print Plastic Tablecloth, and your table is set. Blowing up some Paw Print Balloons makes the room ready for a celebration! Decorate with the supplies needed for the celebration centers! Try placing Mini Plush Dogs on a Fire Hydrant Cupcake Stand and fill a basket with Plush I Love to Read Puppies. You can even use plastic dog bowls as decor! Setting out some Plush Puppy Ear Headbands is a fun way to let kids to dress up for their special event!

Creating centers for your Doggone Great Year Celebration will keep your little ones engaged and active! You can plan to have the children rotate through each center in small groups, or you could complete the centers as a whole group. They are sure to love each of the five fun ideas! Make Your Own Kiddie Kibble Create the PAW-fect snack center where kids can design their own delicious Kiddie Kibble! To prep the center, fill a few plastic dog bowls with some yummy ingredients. You could use cereal, pretzels, crackers, and candy. There is no perfect recipe so you can be mindful of the food restrictions in your classroom. Children fill cellophane bags with a mixture of the ingredients to create a yummy snack that can be eaten in the classroom or taken home! You can use the Paw Print Bulletin Board Cut Outs and Super Sensational Ribbons to create personalized tags for each bag. For this center you will need:

Design Your Dog House Using STEM Kids will be thrilled to visit the Design Your Dog House STEM center! To prep the station, put various sizes of dog treats in small baskets. You will also need some Mini Plush Dogs! Children can work independently or with partners at this station. Have students choose one of dog and build a dog house for the little pup using different dog treats! There is no exact way to build a house so each group may create something unique. Fetch My Newspaper Relay Race Children will be moving and working together at the Fetch My Newspaper Relay Race Center! To prep the center, tie rolled newspapers with different colors of ribbon. You will need one color for each team. For example, if you want to have 3 teams for the relay, you will need to use 3 different colors of ribbon. Put all of the newspapers in a pile at one end of the classroom. Place matching colored baskets at the other end of the room. The players on each team must take turns running to end of the room, collecting one newspaper, and dropping it in the correct basket. The first team to fetch all of their newspapers wins! Dish Addition Math Activity Children will love practicing addition as they throw bean bags into dog bowls! To prep this center, simply stick a number on each dog bowl. I used numbers from the Paw Print Bulletin Board Set. To play, children take turns tossing bean bags into the bowls. If you want them to keep track of their scores, simply add a few dry erase boards and markers to the center. For this center you will need:

Pick the PAW-fect Pup After a celebration filled with movement and activity, I like to plan a center that gives children the opportunity to calm down. This reading center is also perfect for little ones who may need a break from any of the other activities. To prep this center, set out a collection of books and Plush I Love to Read Puppies. Children choose one of the puppies and sit down to read with their new pet! At the end of the celebration, they can take their pet home and read together all summer! For this center you will need:
